Set Opera as Assistant not available now?

Dear friends, can you explain, how to set Opera as Assistant on Android 10 (by long-pressing home button)? It was available few days ago. It was very comfortable to use search function by Opera from every screen of smartphone. This feature is regularly appears and disappears from update to update (of system). It is strange, and Google can't help because problem is very tiny and hard to explain.

I'm having the same problem. The Assist shortcut (long press home button) disappeared as an option hours ago. I had to revert to opera 57.2 to get the function back.

Fix this !

Opera was available to replace google assistant as a web page launcher

Instead of lauching the google assistant, we used to be able to set opera by long pushing the home button.

Firefox is available, but I want Opera there

Android 10:
Settings -> Apps and notifications -> Advanced -> Default apps -> Assist app

Yesterday, I could install Opera there as an assistant.
Longpress on Android Home button opens Opera new tab with focus on search bar. From every screen of smartphone.
Today, this great feature is gone.

Is it about policy with Google? It's very useful and important thing.

Where else can I ask this question?

Many of those here use Opera as the most important application on their phone instead of Google. Is it really not so important for developers?

@lexusxp I have Chrome Canary, Edge, Opera Mini, Opera for Android and Opera Touch installed here and only Chrome and Opera Mini are listed.
Maybe it's just an Android limitation?
