@geniusiq said in Flashbang while loading page:
error websit speedtest speed uploading??? Internet Download Manager very weak in opera???
You should NOT spam the forum with your message. This topic is about something completely different.
You already created this topic:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/40606/very-weak-video-online-and-very-slowly-speed-loading
And apparently also used another user named NaderKabir1, which created this other topic with almost the exact same text, as well as replying other posts:

You didn't reply to my message in that topic though. -

Well ive gone through the chrome and firefox work arounds, and nothing seems to remove it.
Its getting even more anoyying now cause im expecting it.
Seems the only work around Ive found is to click, then look away....... not ideal.... -

@Pebbles1980 You can check my posts in the blog too, I don't know whether they going to fix it or optimize. In the first link you also can find a link to the Opera 65 announcement where in 'after' demo video they demonstrate how do SD tiles open now. If I don't mistake, it worked like on this demo recently (not ideally, but worked ), now there is a flashbang prior to the opening bookmark all the time.

@Pebbles1980 It was fixed in in 65 version as it seems, I don't remember when it was spoiled again.

@Pebbles1980 You can also check how does it work with background tabs (when you open bookmarks/links by clicking mouse's wheel or right click > 'open in new tab'). When you visit background tab for the first time you'll see a full screen flash also, on all chromium browsers.
It's engine issue, as it seems. As far as I know, Chrome (Opera and Edge too) uses a workaround for this: the background tab you are activating will use previous tab's web page background color for the flashbang effect (to exclude the all the time white flasbangs ).
For example, if you're now on web page with white background and open a dark page in the background tab (steam page or youtube in dark mode for example), when you active the tab you'll see a white flashbang. If you're currently on dark page (steam page for example with dark blue background), and open some white page in the background you'll see a dark blue flashbang before page appearing when you activate the background tab. If you open few dark pages in a row in the background, the flashbang's color will stay dark (dark blue for steam/dark gray for you yotube) until you visit some page that has a white background.
So regarding the flashbangs, all the chromium browsers are headache for me. -

Thanks for that Andrew. I never noticed that. Ill try to keep everything on night mode I spose.
Is there anything in the pipeline to have this fixed though?I tried going from steampowered to youtube and the flashbang remains.

@Pebbles1980 remains white? If you open dark youtube tab in the background (when you are on steam page), you should see the dark blue flashbang when you activate youtube tab for the first time. If you continue to open backgrund tabs with youtube pages, the flashbang will remain gray.

I have 2 dark tabs open, Youtube and steampowered.
If I open a new page thats dark also escapefromtarkov.com it still does the white flashbang -

@Pebbles1980 my last posts was related only to background tabs, I don't how it works with new pages (where from it takes the background color). Following the logic, when clicking Speed dial tile the flashbang should be dark gray when dark theme is activated, and white when the light theme is active
-

Sorry Andrew, but there are white flashbangs no matter the site background colour
-

@Pebbles1980 visit steam page, open any link from steam page in the background (click on link using mouse wheel), when you visit the background tab you should see the dark blue flashbang.

Yes, so opening new pages from a darksite removes flashes, but anything from my speed dial doesnt. Even if they are all dark

@Pebbles1980 Yes, this is strange because when I turn off wallpaper on start page, the background is dark gray in dark theme and white in light theme, so the flashbang should be also dark gray in dark mode when opening SD tiles (in ideal, there shouldn't be any flashbangs at all like it was shown on their demo for the 65 version https://www-static-blogs.operacdn.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2019/10/fast_on_slow_win7.gif ).

@Pebbles1980, did you try a portable version, as I mentioned before? Just in case there is something specific to your profile that could be the culprit.
If I have open Youtube (dark theme) and steampowered, and then open a new tab (speed dial with dark background), I have no white flashing. -

I just downloaded GX portable, and being in a dark page and having a dark speed dial with both versions (my theme, and all default in the GX version), I can only get a white flash when I press Ctrl F12 to open the settings. Opening another speed dial or a page, has no white flash here.
For example, if you are at https://www.escapefromtarkov.com, and click on Support (opens in same tab) or Wiki (opens in new tab), do you get that white flash? It doesn't happen to me with either version.
