How to remove red icon Heart from panel?

This red heart icon annoys me. How to remove it? Or remove red color?

Grey heart is normal, calm picture. Maybe, somehow remove this panel

The heart is red if a site is in your bookmarks. If you're still using 38, that means you're using Windows XP or Vista?

I think Opera 36 only has an extension sidebar that you can toggle with ctrl + shift + s. There is a sidebar overlay on opera://startpage and opera://downloads for example that has the heart icon for favorites. But, the only icon there you can control is the news one. If you click the gear at the top right of the start page and enable news, the news button will disappear form the side overlay on the start page. There's no option to disable the heart icon.
