            Updating to the new version seems to change nothing 😞 I'm running in the same problems as I did in the older version. By the way I'm using Windows 10. Do you have any other ideas or should I just hope that it'll be fixed anytime soon?

                @oelmensch I found the solution there! I enable -Override software rendering list- and disable -Use surface layers in Video Pop-out-

                it seems works fine on youtube and other streaming sites!

                  @molenin Volume change is already available in Opera developer 68, so it's just a matter of time for it to reach stable channel.

                    @hrfast The volume control isn't a main problem. It's ugly overall copared with original pop-out. I don't like shadow upon mouse over, I want to see fullscreen and small screen at the same time...

                        @oelmensch It doesn't work.
                        I made a try in the Opera Developer: 69.0.3630.0.

                        OldStyle Pop-Out.
                        opera:flags#video-pop-out-surface-layers: Disable
                        Black pop-out window, video is in the main window.

                        New style shit.
                        opera:flags#video-pop-out-surface-layers: Enable
                        Black main window, video is in the pop-out window.

                        Do nothing at all:
                        --disable-gpu-compositing
                        --disable-direct-composition-layers
                        --disable-direct-composition

                          am glad ya got things work 'n..

                          but am confused and i do not mean to despute what ya said -

                          ya said this that ya - (disabled -Use surface layers in Video Pop-out)
                          What version of opera did ya disabled this flag in.. *just ask'n..

                          the reason i ask is i think version 66.0.3515.115 was last version for the old style pip was working..

                          if ya disable that flag in the newer version of opera the (Video Pop-out)
                          will be black and non work 'n except for sound perhaps..

                          if ya set the flag @ (default or Enabled) ya get the new (Video Pop-out)..

                          if ya got the old style PIP work 'n in the latest opera version do tell and show how.. *thankyou in advance..

                            Same Problem without solution... the new Pop-Out Style is really shit...

                            I don't understand why they deleted the old style and didn't make it freely selectable...

                            Is there a way to deactivate the autoupdate so that I can use a older version with the old style where it still works properly?

                              @Sart It was already explained why the change had to be made. Regarding autoupdate, check the FAQ.

                                @leocg

                                Why was it removed? I can't find an answer here????

                                Also i dont understand why, it is not at least improved that the position and size are saved in the popup with the new style...

                                And I have not found any instructions to disable the auto update function, only rename opera_autoupdate.exe, but this dont work

                                    @Sart Renaming the autoupdater should work but you need to do it before the autoupdate happens. So basically:

                                    • Downlaod the offline installer of an old version
                                    • Turn off your internet connection
                                    • Run the installer
                                    • Rename the opera_autoupdate.exe in the related sub-folder in Opera's installation directory
                                    • Turn on your internet connection
