Surprise, sync not working

As with many of the posts here, my sync isn't working. Wiped my system and prior to wiping, ensured that all my bookmarks and speedials were in the sync opera page. Reinstalled my system and logged into sync. and guess what, Nothing Is Being "Sunc'D". What purpose is this feature is it doesn't work. Gives you false sense of security since everything should just work. Well, it doesn't.

@mazejs How long have you waited? Sync may take a while.

Do you see the sync icon indicating that something is wrong?

Ai.. Is that some kind of rule?

I just became a member here and if it's a rule (well I'd have to watch my typing;) and maybe take a look at the 'guidelines-for-forum-page'

The user has previously been warned not to use all caps but has ignored the warning, therefore more drastic steps were required.

@MsMMM I usually ignore lots of rules violation - otherwise there wouldn't be many posts in this forum - but writing in caps really annoys me, so tolerance for that kind of violation is low.
