I'm trying to get off Chrome due to Google's bad policies. I exported my passwords which gave me a .csv file. However in Opera there seems to be no import function. I looked at an old thread on the mac boards here but it's answer no longer works and the mod in there was kinda rude. Dude kept posting without answering the question and then the solution he tried to provide doesn't work but the thread is locked anyway.

@irmacguyver You need to enable Passwords Import in opera://flags and then use the tool in the passwords section of the settings page.

          Hi,
          You will need a Switch.

-- Passwords-import ( or similar) from Peter.sh Chromium switches website.

Flag option is for old versions, if I'm not mistaken.

          SyncBack | Synkron helps.

look like chrome got rid of Password Import flag..

but zalex108 right.. here is another example that may help..

            Example

            Run Opera with

            --enable-features=PasswordImport switch

            restart the browser

            go to chrome://settings/passwords

click on the three dots next to Saved Passwords and you'll see it..

            Or this -

First flag to enable: Temporarily unexpire M76 flags.

            Restart opera

second flag to enable: Password import

            chrome://flags/#PasswordImport

            Restart - import passwords..

Tried that. It doesn't exist in the version of Opera I have. Version:65.0.3467.78

My csv file is my back up plan. I've got it saved in two locations locally and one off site.

                      Good.

                      Look at Keepass or similar.
