Hyperlinks don't open in Opera

Hii there,
I have problems with Opera not opening hyperlinks from MS Word documents. Previously I used Chrome, so I downloaded it again to check if the links still work, which they do. I changed Opera to be my default browser and the links don't open anymore. I'd appreciate suggestions on how to make links open in Opera, as I'd like to get rid of Chrome.

When I ctrl+click the link, it doesn't open browser and show the website, unless I have Chrome made as my default browser.

yeah, Opera is set as the default handler for html, no info regarding http(s) though
