@graywoulf opera://flags/#bookmarks-panel, but remember that it's a flags and it can go away at any time.

@graywoulf Agree totally. Suddenly all my bookmarks are not so easy to find. Another major "dis-improvement" from Opera.

Suddenly managed to, retrieve bookmarks.
I now have 3 irritating small tiles on my start page. I clicked the tiny symbol above the first one and lo and behold I was able to click bookmarks. Now I'd like to remove these annoying tiles and return to the previous method of viewing bookmarks.

I have been loyal to Opera since before version 12 and I have to say that this beyond annoying, it is totally unnecessary. So it was done because a vocal minority asked for it? Fine but give us a choice to revert to the proper way of doing things in the settings and not just impose this on us.

@graywoulf I agree Agreed this should have always been an option. You just don't appease some with making it this way to all. I will never understand why some Developers don't understand this. Make this happen Opera we all are fans too.

I agree absolutely these constant updates that only complicate using this browser are extremely annoying. There's no option to turn off updates and this last one is a step backwards as far as I am concerned. I'm looking for an alternative browser. -

So that's another shortcut I've got to memorise just to be able to do what I could do before with just one click. There should be options to avoid this and also there should be an option to not receive these annoying constant updates -

I agree completely but it seems to me that Opera don't give the user choices when they want to change things -

Managed to get rid of mini tiles and access bookmarks in a reliable manner- or so it would seem unless Opera has some more non improvements on the way.
Access text bookmarks, then scroll to the bottom of the list and click on blue text "show full bookmarks bar" . This was not showing yesterday so maybe Opera has listened - it's so much quicker to find a picture bookmark than wade through tests. -

This is the worst Opera Update ever! Not only is the "new" old Bookmark thing a fiasco, now Opera Browser stops responding almost as soon as it goes to any website. Think I'll go back to Firefox.

If you close the browser and open it you need to scroll down and click it again.

@wmtyrance Which is what I was complaining about. Also, if it is an attempt to make me use the bookmark bar, it failed. I've literally got hundreds of bookmarks after being with opera this long and they won't all fit (hint - sarcasm).

@TarotRedhand You have to restart Opera after disabling the flag. Works fine for me.

@burnout426 Thank you. Sorry to report it didn't work although I did restart Opera.
Just wish Opera would stop change for change sake!

@lizziedart Same here. I don't know if it makes any difference but I am on the win 64 build.

Test with a new profile just to see if it's just an issue with your current profile.
Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop named "Opera Test", set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "Import data from default browser" and install. Test in that Opera with the flag disabled, but do not install any extensions, do not turn on Opera's adblocker nad do not enable Opera Sync.
I'm using Opera 65.0.3467.48 64-bit on Windows 10 btw.
