Opera does not shows the latest version number of their browser on the download section. This is absolutely ridiculous.

@another-level It is. Google "opera pub" to find the directory with all desktop versions, including stand-alones. Though I'd better get rid of the Opera.

I wouldn't say it's ridiculous, but it would be nice if it was mentioned.
As said though, you can go to https://ftp.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/ for example and look for the latest build that has a setup file for your OS.

I rather want to know what version I'm downloading if I'm re-installing Opera and I shouldn't have to go around hunting for this information either.
I have a distrust of tech companies getting it right and so I want to ensure that I've got the latest version through piece of mind.
I mean, how hard is it just to add the version number next to the download button?

Hi @another-level, if you're (re)installing it from the offline installer (or only click on the download offline package link), you already know which version it includes, since it's shown in the file name.

@another-level I'm sure it does here..
Being on https://www.opera.com/download, click the "Download the offline package" link for Windows, and you should see it. -

@l33t4opera
Lol, it is not even the latest version of Opera 63.0.3368.75. So much for saying Opera will always have the most up to date browser on its home page.

@another-level Opera 63.0.3368.75 is the latest version for the Mac. Opera 63.0.3368.71 is the latest version for Windows

Thanks. More click fatigue trying obtain basic information which shouldn't be buried under links. If only information was laid out in a coherent manner without having to go from page to page or link to link.
