When opera decides to update, why does it insist on creating a new folder with the most current version number ?
It also does not delete the older version folder which no longer works and must be deleted manually. In some cases
you also have to edit the desktop shortcut to point to the new opera.exe location .... And today, for some reason the
very latest version 116 is not on ftp site to download -

@leocg That seems overly complex. Once the new one is installed, then if you go to your Add / Remove Programs (or whatever uninstaller you use) you will only see the newest version listed. I simply delete the older folder and then be sure the shortcut is pulling up the newest version.

This is something Chromium does (so you can roll back if you have to). Since Opera is based on Chromium it inherits this behavior. I don't really care for it, but it is what it is.
