      As a longtime user of Opera and noticed it fails to perform basic functions sometimes correctly I am wondering if it is worth bothering with. Vivaldi always works as expected but Opera ? !!!
      Today I caught two Opera auto update processes running in task manager at the sametime. Both pointed to the correct Opera file, why two processes and while I'm speaking about therm why won't Opera let us turn off auto updates ? Also had Opera crash reporter appear at a different time today also in task manager. However I have Opera set to NOT send crash reports so why is it running ? Business organisations usually get the basics right before adding new features but Opera doesn't seem capable of this. I will continue to use Opera probably as a secondary installation so I can remove it easily if it continues to display "odd" behaviour.

          As far as I know, crash reports are always created even if they won't be sent.

            Thanks for the replys. To continue I forgot another thing about Opera. In settings/block ads/manage lists there is an item marked "selected lists are updated automatically, you can also update them now" There is an "update" button . Pressing the "update button ,does for all I know nothing, as it still remains at "update",. It seems too much for Opera to give a notification, like the word "updated". for example.

              Since it's not related to what is in the first post, please open a new topic to discuss about it.

              Let's avoid generic topics.

                I found two separate Opera programs installed when Opera auto updated. The update didn't remove the older version and created havoc with my computers. Losing my extensions made me a very unhappy chappy...

                  It always worked this way, folders with few of the previous builds are kept after updates.

                  Also it's also unrelated to this topic so please open a new one.

                    @leocg As it seems I'm going to get nowhere complaining, I've removed Opera and installed Vivaldi. So there is no need for me to open a new topic. A pity , as I really liked Opera before the recent update. Such is life...

                      @viton
                      Both browsers have their +/- points and frustration is a part of running both.
                      I keep different browsers for all manner of situations, it's not an ideal scenario
                      but with todays current crop of browsers it has become a necessity to do so.

                        Well, if you just complain then you really will not go anywhere and it's valid for anything on your life.
                        However, if you show a reasonable motivation for your complaint and do it in the proper place and way, then it may be taken in consideration.

                        Hijacking a topic besides being against the rules, will also not help fixing your problem.

                            @lucasnorthmi51959 I have several browsers installed too. Main reasons are 1 I'm curious to see what they have to offer that's different from their competitors 2 I find that no one browser is better than all others in every respect. So, depending on context, I sometimes switch for specific tasks.
