Music starts playing on startup

I have been using Opera for over a year and suddenly on August 28, 2018, it starts playing some godawful guitar music for over a 1 minute before turning off. I cannot find the source, I have deleted all extensions, ran antivirus, malware scans, even deleted and reinstalled the browser. The only way to stop it is to close opera, but if I launch it starts playing again. What the hell is going on with this browser? How do I fix these issue?

Opera doesn't have any sounds, so it's probably a page, an extension or a malware.

Or maybe something on your OS settings.

Do you always start with the same tabs? Is one of them showing the little equalizer animation that indicates it is playing a sound?

If you go to "C:\Program Files\Opera" and double-click launcher.exe to start Opera and it doesn't do it, there's a possibility that the shortcut you're using to launch Opera has a modified command.

During the uninstall process, if you don't choose to delete your data (your profile), when you reinstall Opera, it'll use the old profile. If the problem is in your profile, it'll still be there after a reinstall.

@linear You could have tried the other suggestions first so you didn't have to nuke your profile. But, glad you got it.
