VPN download: "interrupted: network error"

An update Nov 16th: Problem still occurs regarding VPN download 'interrupted: network error'. Though I can download fine without VPN. I have been using EPIC browser with encrypted proxy to download files. Though Epic is nowhere as near as good as Opera (when Opera VPN was working),
Updated Opera to version 49.0.2725.39 (PGO) and the problem still persists.
Is it possible to go back to a version of Opera where VPN download worked say which ever version was in use in June 2017.

Sorry for late response. It's mainly caused by work on in-house VPN infrastructure.

Sorry for late response. It's mainly caused by work on in-house VPN infrastructure.
Unfortunately VPN downloads still abort with the renewed VPN in Opera dev 51.0.2791.0 (tested with location "Europe" / IP "77.111.244.29").

Hi,
I updated to the latest stable Opera (49.0.2725.56) and the issue still persists. Would this issue be fixed at least by stable 51? I selected Europe VPN location. -

Welcome to 2018: Opera VPN still not allowing downloads to complete. My vpn has switched to 4 locations like Americas, Europe, Asia. Though all my vpn addresses seem to be in Norway. A download through vpn still becomes interrupted, though the downloading lasts longer and can be resumed for a while. Then a 'forbidden' stops the vpn completely. There seem to be a lot of vpn issues now in this forum.

Same here, but Google thinks I'm in Russia or Ukraine or wherever Cyrillic is used (can't read anything)
PS: Yes, Opera built-in VPN is getting worse and worse....

@emniss For the past couple of days my vpn has been very slow , or not connecting. I used to connect to Netherlands on the Optimal location - now I can't tell and I have just Europe, Americas or Asia. I've had to turn it off as it's useless at present.

i had this problem before but was fixed 6-7 months ago and it didn't show again till 8/8/2018
now the download is interrupted every 8-14 seconds.
