        Use some ad-blocking extension, like AdBlock, uBlock or similar. To lessen stress on extension, uncheck easy-list from its options - internal ad-blocker uses that list and there's no need to use it twice.

          Didn't they allow you to add your own rules - or is that not in Stable yet? Mind you, the rules have to be imported (there's no UI to edit them), but it was a common format ...

                Better? As with C and HTML, backslash is an escape, hence backslash numbersign will display the numbersign instead of treating it as a heading.
