@roskvartal I looked at it. I don't know Russian very well, but translated the description to see what the extension is for. I see it just adds some quick ways to access some of the services on https://roskvartal.ru/. I don't know anything about the site though.

I looked at the contents of the extension. I don't see anything shady in the scripts or anything like that. I see it adds a search to Google and Yandex as an option, but that sounds okay.

The only question I personally would have is why the use of the hot-reload script to monitor changes to the extensions directory and then reload pages? Is that just for development purposes? Is that needed for a regular user? Is it only active when the extension is loaded in develop mode (I think maybe that's the case)? It doesn't sound malicious. Just wondering.

I don't see any reviews on the Chome webstore extension link and it only looks like there are a few users. But, don't see any red flags anywhere.

In short, I don't see any barriers that would cause trouble with getting your extension approved.

@gustavwiz Yes, it was a very productive year. A lot of updates and submissions have been made to the extension an none of them has been reviewed.

There's like hardly any new addons coming our way... There used to be like a bunch of in a week, now 2-3 in a month.

Seriously? Do you mean you have waited A YEAR?

Waiting for approving my new extension almost three months. No progress.

@rudrick, after 10 months, I've finally got a response for one of the submissions, saying that the build scripts must work on Windows. I'm wondering why is this not specified in the submission guidelines.

All my extensions got published today. \o/

It seems one of the main issues was that the build scripts did not run on Windows, but I was not contacted about the error, and with time the extensions were likely pushed down in the reviewer backlog.

The submission experience could be improved by communicating issues as they happen, and the publishing guidelines also need an update.

The guidelines currently suggest that bundled code is not accepted. That is no longer the case, we just have to provide the source code and instructions to reproduce the submitted package on Windows.

                    https://dev.opera.com/extensions/publishing-guidelines/#acceptance-criteria

If there are others with bundled extensions, this is the guide I've sent them that finally got the exensions published, feel free to adapt it to your own needs:

I installed Opera after a few years mostly using only Chrome. I did it because I wanted to publish my extension also for Opera. First impression it was WOW this looks good. I was worried because already passed 3 days since I submitted my addons (LOL) and I've found this post. To my surprise I see that some people is still waiting for months to get their extensions moderated. Seriously??? Dear people from Opera, are you serious? I'm already thinking to uninstall Opera and stay with Chrome and Firefox.

I wonder if Opera is aware of that this seriously can hurt their reputation? They have been trying to compete with the bigger browsers for 22 years now. If they not are spending money on this; what are they trying to accomplish?

Is Opera doing away with Extensions specific to Opera given that they will allow for Chrome extensions to be installed directly?

                              See link: https://latesthackingnews.com/2018/07/18/opera-browser-update-install-extensions-directly-from-chrome-store/

I have two extensions waiting moderation for more than 4 months now, I have not received any message of what the problem is or when they will be reviewed. This is nothing serious. Both extensions were published by Chrome and Firefox in just a few hours. I do not know how to contact Opera to ask. It is really frustrating and exasperating.

@timerestart When you visit the Chrome store in Opera, Opera should ask you if you want to install https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/install-chrome-extensions/ so that you can install Chrome extensions. Does your Chrome version of your extensions work fine in Opera?

Not at all, because my add-ons need to use an auxiliary application for method 4, if I install the chrome add-on then in method 4 reboots chrome not Opera!!!
