Sync same Speed Dial on every device

Is there anyone here not from Opera software that can explain what the programming problem is with syncing speed dials?
I don't buy at all "everyone wants different speed dials on every device". That's bs. Nobody does.
What's the real story here? Is this too big of an issue for Opera Soft to program ? 800 billion options in opera and they can't program the #1 request by users of all time?
What's the real story here?

@btabke Some people want to have the same speed dials on all devices while others prefer to have different ones for home and work for example, so people at Opera decided to give users speed dial sync but not automatically populated each start page with synced speed dials.

Only ones EVER in this forum that want separate speed dials are Moderators and Opera Software employees. No one - zero, nada, nobody wants different ones. Speed dials are start page bookmarks and they should be in sync with anything sync'ing them.If not - there should be an option. and given Opera's history of "more options the better", the only thing to think, is there must be some weird programming barrier or laziness that keeps them from giving the users the #1 request since speed dials were put in the software.

@btabke Those who want different speed dials on different Opera installations already have it, so they don't need to come here or anywhere else to ask for it. That's why you don't see that many people here saying that they want separated speed dials.
More options = more code = more bugs.

No effort to provide the most important and requested option (i.e. syncing speed dial on all devices)= no users

Nooo I've just found out it is not possible to have the same speed dial on all devices.
I'm one of those who need the very same speed dial on desktop pc and notebook. So disappointed. -

I do. And I am not part of Opera software in any way. But I suppose that it was too much of a trouble to read the whole thread. I guess you are too busy and too important.
What's the real story here? Is this too big of an issue for Opera Soft to program ? 800 billion options in opera and they can't program the #1 request by users of all time?
Where is this a #1 request?
Speed dials are start page bookmarks and they should be in sync with anything sync'ing them.
What are "start page bookmarks"? Could you point to the definition? Should be sync? Says who?
If not - there should be an option. and given Opera's history of "more options the better", the only thing to think, is there must be some weird programming barrier or laziness that keeps them from giving the users the #1 request since speed dials were put in the software.
You have a folder within the bookmarks? What else do you want? Too lazy to copy a couple of tiles? Or you have a weird psychological barrier to do that? Maybe learned that mummy needs to do everything for you?
I don't want that behavior and I think it is a disaster. Making speed dial synced as a separate option would be the only acceptable solution, for my point of view.

@leocg leocg, I am truly stunned to see how unprofessional you are, as a moderator. You represent Opera directly to your consumers, and I find you to consistently be rude and antagonistic in the forums, both to me and to numerous other poor souls looking for answers and trying to make suggestions that they feel would make the browser that they have chosen, and obviously have allegiance to, better.
Most recently, I submitted a suggestion that it would be nice if one could put subfolders into folders. Your brusque response: shouldn't be in forum, case closed. What? Thanks for caring.
It seems that you would rather abuse your users than accept well-intentioned and usually great suggestions. You are a bully, and I can only assume that since Opera allows you to represent them that they must subscribe to your actions.
I am moving to a different browser (probably back to Duck Duck Go), regardless of the inconvenience to myself, and would suggest others offended by your behavior do likewise.
I am going to do my best to send this message to Opera administration, though I suspect, since they allow your behavior, that they won't want it. I would imagine that you will remove this, but at least hopefully you will see it.

I wish I had the option of 1 speed dial for both of my computers. I recently migrated PCs, and was startled to find that my speed dials had not appeared; it was only after poking around that I found them under a speed dial thingy from my other machine.; I then copypasted them into my new PC's speed dial. Not a biggie, but a little annoying. Ideally, it would be the same for both, since I use both machines the same, and it makes bookmark sync look messy, with speed dial folders from old computers I don't use anymore appearing. I keep my Work Only and Home Only and School Only sites in separate folders, anyway, so I don't need multiple speed dials. This feature request gets an upvote from me.

By the way, moderators don't work for Opera or represent it in any way.

There is a way to achieve it.
Look for 1 SpeedDial on 2 Devices Thread, - can be found on my Topics -.

I can easily live without this feature. It would be nice, but I can just copy/paste the speed dial every now and then.
Unfortunately copy/pasting speed dial is something a little too complex to communicate to clients. People want now days a flow of using their devices, from home, to office, to phone while commuting and then back at home (PC/mac/tablet). Lack of one-speeddial between devices is, from average users point of view, something that is not a sales point for Opera in "tech enthusiast" crowd, for whats-a-browser crowd it most likely is. But which crowd is more likely to use Opera?

You just need to copy the SD bookmarks from Other Speed Dials to the SD of your other machine.
BTW, a switch or a selector to select the behavior would be nice.
ย+!. Simple make it a choice. Toggle mutli device sync yes or no. Each device can opt out of the multi-sync.
