Based off the lack of response the "simple" addition of this feature is likely more difficult than we are imagining. Anyone have an idea as to why it's more complicated than we're imagining?

This feature would be really useful because I would like some of my devices to share the same Speed Dials but some have their own ones. Unfortunately right now I have like a million separate Speed Dials )

I agree that this could be an option for synchronization.
But I strongly disagree this being a default behavior, i.e. not having speed dials folders as it is now. The way it is now is the exact behavior as I would expect and a top implemented feature. I don't want the same speed dials on my work and home PC, and actually need third set for my phone.
I wanted to try the new Firefox Quantum and had a terrible time making it work like this with the Top Sites similar to Opera Speed Dial feature.

I use different profiles for
- Home
- Study
- Work
- ...
Then, to share the same SD it's much more comfortable.
But as said, that would be a decision to leave to the user.

So if you want to study at home, or do a little work, or have a look at the link you need at work but set it at home you need to switch profile every time?

Yes, I do.
At home I have each profile to use for those purposes.In case I've found a new link on the home profile, I just copy/paste it to the needed profile or send it to the email or share it with dropbox.
I've found that more convenient to keep all clean and organized.

@leocg I'm thinking Opera should not expect me to keep using their browser, due to lack of concern or help from Opera about problems.

Is there anyone here not from Opera software that can explain what the programming problem is with syncing speed dials?
I don't buy at all "everyone wants different speed dials on every device". That's bs. Nobody does.
What's the real story here? Is this too big of an issue for Opera Soft to program ? 800 billion options in opera and they can't program the #1 request by users of all time?

@btabke Some people want to have the same speed dials on all devices while others prefer to have different ones for home and work for example, so people at Opera decided to give users speed dial sync but not automatically populated each start page with synced speed dials.
