New Opera Iteration (Latest Android Version 45) Freezes On A Couple Web Pages

During the past 2 days, the following Web pages load but subsequently freezes::
https://www.cnn.com/https://www.huffingtonpost.com/?country=US
Previous version did not have this problem
Any help appreciated.

Follow up , I found that if I set the layout to tablet and turned off block ads, opera began working correctly

In regarding updates for Android devices, my opera updates automatically on my desktop laptop. But on my Android tablet it seems there is no automatic update. Is this the way it should be and I should simply look for an announcement of a new update here and go to google play or the opera website to download it and install?

@leocg The issue for me is that I use an Amazon Fire HD tablet, and as you probably know, I cannot use Google play to do updates for anything not downloaded from Amazon. And Amazon's Opera Download is sitting (still) on Opera 41. So I do the download from the Opera Home page for Androids. Opera has basically worked flawlessly on my Amazon tablet. I love it.
