I am running Win 10 1709 16299.248 64 Bit
MS Edge Browser
Internet Explorer Browser
Maxthon 5 5.1.6.3000 Browser
Opera 51.0.2830.34 Browser 64 Bit
When I try to change default browser in Settings or Control Panel, the only available Browser selections are Edge, IE and Maxthon 5.
Opera is not displayed for selection as a browser.
I logged out of my main Administrator account and logged into my secondary Administrator account. In the second account Edge, IE, Maxthon 5 and Opera are available for browser selection and I can select Opera for my default browser.
I have tried uninstalling Opera, rebooting and reinstalling Opera with no change. Opera is still not available for selection as a Browser.
Opera runs as it is supposed to run it just is not recognized in my main Administrator Account as an available browser for default.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, can you tell me how to remedy the problem in my main Administrator Account?
I am assuming this is a registry error in my main Administrator Account.

@leocg Yup I tried that. Developer shows up but Stable does not. When I log onto my secondary Admin Profile in Win 10. Stable shows up and can be set as Default. Just not in my Main Administrator account.
If I uninstall again and Run As Admin, do I need to remove all user data?"Never put your finger anyplace you wouldn't put your face" -Momma

If the reinstall doesn't work, in Windows, search for "default app settings" and click to open the result. At the end of the "Choose default apps" section, beneath the specific apps categories, click on the "Set defaults by app" entry (the last of the three entries in light blue). Scroll down the list which appears until you encounter "Opera Stable". Click on it. In the panel that then appears, you should be able to select Opera Internet Browser for each relevant category that Opera applies to and click to select Opera: particularly .htm, .html, .shtml, .xht, .xhtml, FTP, HTTP, and HTTPS plus any other listed ones for which you wish Opera to be default. If Opera doesn't show up anywhere in this, there's something blocking it from registering itself with Windows registry... possibly an antivirus program, etc.

@bobbyg In reviewing your posts, you indicated that in your "main" admin account, you have Opera Developer installed and it "shows up" but Stable does not. In your "secondary" admin account, you stated that Stable "shows up" and can be set as default... but not in your "main" account. This raises a question: by "showing up", were you referring to showing up in the default browser selection list?
If that's a correct interpretation of your meaning, then it means that for the Developer version to "show up" in the main account's default browser choice list, it must be "fully installed" into that account, not installed as just a standalone/portable install. Only one Opera browser version at a time can be 'fully' installed into a specific user account, and if that position is already occupied by Opera's Developer version, that would interfere/block proper 'full' installation of a Stable Opera version into that same user account (be it either admin or limited).
