Bug In New Tab Click Function with O51

I love the ability to be able to click a tab and be brought back to the top of the page and vice versa...BUT, if I highlight some text and use that highlight to do a search (right click or use the popup from the highlighted text), Opera takes me to a new tab. Ok that's fine. But if I want to go back to that page and use the highlighted text to to something else with a right click, Opera has now deleted the highlight and I have to highlight it again. (on SOME pages)

I know this is because for the new "click tab function", but the programmers need to disable it if Opera displays a new tab and then you go back to the highlighted page.

What's interesting, Opera does this on SOME pages and not on others, for instance::

In this page

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/17/us/politics/trump-russia.html

(NYTimes), doing the highlight and going back to it after a search for the headline, the highlight is gone. Whereas, on this page::

the highlight stays.
