@thezanderpanda If you are using sync then you should be able to get your history data again. You can also do a backup of the history files from Opera's profile directory.

@thezanderpanda You mean that when you start your computer, Opera automatically launches with a Microsoft page opened? Or do you mean that when you start Opera, that page is opened?

In
- Opera Help > Find solutions.
You will find where your profile it's located and the files you would need to back up.
In case of any Sync problem or file missed or not checked to Sync, you will find all your stuff there.
If you still can open Opera, try to export the extensions settings - if they allow to do it -.
Important:
In case you save passwords but do not sync them, ask on how to export them.
Also, take this on count.

Because of that, I'm referring to the Microsoft technicians answer, so deleting Opera from the Startup would be enough.

Using Bootracer I looked into my start up and identified a couple of probable culprits; one of which was listed as "Application Restart in the windows c:\windows\HelpPane.exe - Home
The other was onedrive setup as I have switched to using Mega to back up to the cloud (with varying degrees of success).
I didn't delete but instead disabled them at start-up and the problem is solved. I have noticed no ill effect. -

Thanks; I don't use Opera to save passwords prefer to use dedicated manager for flexibility.
