Installed yesterday on Windows 10 and Windows Defender Security flagged Trojan:Win32/Sonoko.A!ms
This was installed to file: C:\Users???\AppData\Local\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Cache\f_00004f

Is it a trojan? or something else?

Since it's in Opera's cache, it means that Windows Defender ddtected something suspicious in a page you've visited.

          Seeing https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7e4e3d11-e43b-4a5e-a94f-5315397ffd19/false-positive-trojan-sonokoams-in-chrome-user-data-cache-files?forum=FCSNext about this.

          There's also this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?Name=Trojan:Win32/Sonoko.A!ms&ThreatID=-2147242665.

In short, there's a high probability that it's a false positive in this case.

              A. It is not a problem, and B. if it were a problem it is in a cache file - go to Setting and empty your cache and it is gone.
