      Hello.

When I start the app and use the address bar on the top of the homepage, it show on the opened page all the websites I've recently seen in the form of little icons (not in the adress bar I'm typing in).

This is obviously a little unnerving for privacy when searching for a website in front of others people.

In fact, It seem I can't even delete these unwanted shortcuts.

Is there a way to prevent them at all?  I couldn't find it despite my search.

      Thanks for your help.

I don't think there is a way to disable it.

Delete should work though. See the "hamburger menu"? In tablet mode it is on the left of the tab bar. At the bottom of that menu is an Exit option, when you do exit it will ask about deleting history.

@Vende you may delete the history and it will disappear from the address bar suggestion. Another recommendation is to use "Private Mode" if you do not want to be shown the URL in address bar suggestion

Thank you, but both tricks mean having to constantly relog on every single website everytime, which is downright impractical.

Do you mean that I can't casually use Opera and not have it show all my web history if I use it for some quick search in front of acquaintances? Surely I'm not the first noticing the problem here, that's a huge breach of privacy, and one which didn't exist n the previous version I used.

Why not you just delete your history and then use private browser after that ?

Private browser require you to re log in every website and forum everytime you use it, which is a huge user hindrance.

Beside, being forced to use private mode constantly shouldn't be the new normal, don't you think so?

I'm appalled there isn't simply an option not to basically show off your whole historique for all to see when typing in the address bar.
