I was downloading a program (EXE installer) and wanted it to overwrite the existing installer in my Downloads folder because it's newer, but with same name. And Opera keeps on bitching about insufficient rights to do that and then it fails and it just does nothing. Then I Reset my Windows 10 install clean and the thing still keeps happening. What the hell changed that I can't overwrite crap inside Downloads folder anymore!? This worked just fine like a week ago and now it doesn't anymore. It's incredibly annoying because I have to then manually delete the existing file before I can even download new one and that's just utterly retarded. Or rename it during download and create bunch of installers for same thing with different name. Which is just as equally as retarded as manual deleting...

The folder or just that file is set to require administrator access to overwrite it, or else the file is currently in use. Most likely case - your antivirus program quarantined it.

@sgunhouse Windows Defender didn't quarantine anything. And files were not in use either. I've ran Opera with admin rights and closed it. Now it seems to be working again. I don't get it...
