Transferring Opera bookmarks from one computer to another

Hi -
I am retiring one computer and starting fresh on another. For many files it is just a copy and paste. For programs, I am just installing them from scratch.
However, what do I do about opera bookmarks? The last time I beat my head against this, Opera made it needlessly difficult to just export bookmarks to an html file or just give a straight answer as to a folder where the information is kept and can be transferred over to the fresh Opera instance. Can anyone tell me what I am missing? Is there an easy way to do this?

Well, maybe not "needlessly difficult", but I am just saying in the past, I found Opera's seeming approach to this matter somewhat frustrating.

I found Opera's sync to be the easiest way to do it you can also sync passwords and settings and tabs and history you want to

Thanks leocg and athlonite.
I managed to get at my bold bookmarks by finding my old bookmarks file in the area of the profile. I found the profile by following the directions here:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/17177/frequently-asked-questions-opera-for-windows-updated-apr-30-2017/1I tried about a half-dozen times to import this bookmarks file into Opera, and this did not work. Finally I renamed the existing Opera bookmarks file, pasted the old one, closed opera, opened opera, and it worked.

Leocg, if I ctrl-f search on the word "bookmark" at this FAQ:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/17177/frequently-asked-questions-opera-for-windows-updated-apr-30-2017/1
I see nothing. Did you mean some other FAQ? -
On syncing, I tend to avoid it, but will maybe try it in future.

there are couple of extensions that can export bookmarks to html (with the tree structure preserved and recognizable bookmarks bar root)
also, developer version already have implemented native bookmarks export, it will be in stable in couple of months
