Dev 46.0.2602.0 (PGO)
Windows 10 64-bit latest UpdateOnly happens with Opera (at least when it comes to browsers). This is in Window mode, not full screen btw! Should have mentioned that...
There is clearly some kind of margin build in. When you take the window and drag it holding the mouse, you see the outline of it. If you drag the outline to the edge of the screen and let go, even though it lined up with the screen the window itself has this empty space on the left side.

You may try with a clean profile or download this as a clean profile and test what happens.

I have tested this a bit more and it seems that it is more a problem of Opera not remembering the resize position like other programs like Chrome or Firefox or Vivaldi. It always has this space to the edge of the screen. I demonstrate this here in the video.
I place and resizing the Opera window.
1st problem: there is always a small space to the edge of the screen.
2nd problem: after closing and opening Opera there is always a gap to the edge of the screenI do the same with Chrome and I am able to align the left side to the screen edge without gap and Chrome remembers this placement after closing and re-opening it. This behavior have all the programs I tested. It should be possible to implement this into Opera too.
