Which is to say ... there's an icon that looks like 2 bars with an arrow below them next to the Minimize button at the right end of the tab bar, if you click that you should get a menu with open tabs, closed tabs and closed windows on it (you may have to click on the section to expand it).

I cannot seem to find any open Windows in the tabs menu, only recent tabs from the current session. If I close the whole window, I cannot restore anything. (Except from using the History menu)

Unfortunately I do not have that. Only "Other devices" and "Open tabs"... It's a clean install of Opera. I tried also in Opera Dev and it's the same. No Window-1

Oh, now i see. So it does only remember closed windows in the current session. I need at least 2 windows open for this to work...
I thought I could restore the last closed window, regardless if I closed all windows or not.
This should be changed. In Chrome I would use this feature when I have to restart the browser and restore my last session, it seems that Opera makes this impossible without using the History tab. -

You need Session Buddy. It is a Chrome extension but you can add it to Opera using the "Download Chrome Extension". I have been using it for years and it is awesome. It does everything you want and then some.

thanks for suggestion, but i prefer not to install another 2 extensions for this feature that should have been built-in. I choose opera because i am done with chrome.

Hi! I just closed a window and can't find the way to open it back. I read some people talking about some history menu this option is, but I can't even find a history menu. Can anyone help me?
If it was a private window, it won't reopen.
