        • PDF & DOC (mail.yandex.com)
        • JPG (qobuz.com)

Only way to get JPG to download is using "Saved linked content as..." option on www.qobuz.com.

On www.qobuz.com I can download my purchases fine (TAR file) and I can also download PDF.

But on yandex.com I cannot download PDF and DOC attachments to emails. Unfortunately I do not have any other attachment types to test for yandex.

        Edit:
Process 16437 (opera) of user 1000 dumped core.

I have the same problem as opera-nix, but with CSV files. So:

Description: Opera crashes when trying to download a CSV file from link in web page (does not show Save As dialog). From same site XML file download works (shows Save As dialog).

Steps to reproduce: With site www.op.fi, select a report file. With another site page, selecting XML report.

Actual result: Opera tries to open a new tab and promptly crashes.

Expected result: A Save As dialog should open up allowing me to save downloaded file with specified name.

OS: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (x86_64; Unity)

          URL: https://www.op.fi (requires login)

          Version of Opera: 42.0.2393.351

Previously the CSV download worked without a problem. For now workaround is to use "Save linked content as...". As far as I know, I haven't changed any settings in Opera.

          in syslog:
          'Jan 24 19:21:24 hauki kernel: [ 1375.196870] opera[7430]: segfault at 80 ip 000000000262ecc0 sp 00007ffd3ffe9b38 error 4 in opera[400000+5bdf000]'

Opera creates a crashlog to /tmp

Also updated to 42.0.2393.351 on archlinux - opera still crashes when trying to download.

Disabling [Ask where to save each file before downloading] option allows me to download affected files from the websites. Please be so kind as to not remove this option.

            With thanks & kindness.

Updated to 42.0.2393.517: Exactly the same behaviour; tries to open new tab instead of showing Save As.. dialog. Works with a link to a XML file, does not with a CSV.

I have the same problem, often with PDF files too.

Using Opera 42.0.2393.517 Stable. Disabling "Ask where to save each file before downloading" make it work (either with and without pdf plugin enabled) but it's only a (rather annoying) workaround.

Please look at this issue !

                  Thanks

                        What kind(s) of files?

Any file, from images to text, to shell scripts, to zip's, installers . It really doesn't matter, i see no pattern between xdebug installer and any gif/png image?.

There's a huge problem with downloading files in a new tab, it always crashes and leaves one core full throttle.
It's starting to get really annoying, suddenly all webs are lost, you need to re-open all tabs again, it's not possible to work with this Chromium clone at this point.

Log files are piling, an upload button here would be useful.

                        Regards

Thank you, dude! It fixed the problem while I tried to open any file in the browser (under Ubuntu)
