Opera and Opera developer now freezing

I have Webroot SecureAnywhere
And what happens if you disable it?
I'm not sure because I haven't done it yet.

Now, Opera developer is no longer working anymore. It did work for a few seconds before it started freezing up again.

So what was the result with 'Webroot SecureAnywhere' disabled?
No such luck. Opera developer is still freezing up.

What about disabling hardware acceleration?

I get the impression that you're suffering from a DNS related problem which affects the browsers. Have you tried other browsers at your disposal to see if that caused issues as well?
Also: what start page do you use? Does it open a specific page or something?
