Opera shuts down and restarts in a never ending loop

This started yesterday... when I load Opera (latest Win 10 64-bit), it loads my default tabs and in 10 seconds or so, shuts down and reloads continuously.

I uninstalled Opera and installed an old v12 I had. Although when I run this, it goes to an Opera web page, I soon get many, many pop-up Security warning windows saying "Servers certificate chain is incomplete..." on any site I try to go to.

Any suggestions?

As an update, I did a Restore Point recovery from a few days ago and Opera is now working again.

Hard to believe that I was the only one that reported this issue, which seems to coincide with the major DoS attack of last week... it started Friday and corrected Sunday. (although not directly related to Opera).

Maybe it was related - are you somewhere on the east coast of the US, and did you have Opera set to open with one of the sites that was having trouble displayed (I recall Twitter being mentioned) - or an extension which would be trying to connect to it?

It seems merely a coincidence. It seems to be more likely that something got corrupted in your profile or maybe one of the tabs was causing a crash when opened.
