@operamilleson Thx for reading all that stuff. There's also a bug to be reported, you can't drag & edit a thumbnail that locates inside a SD folder.
About the tab selector: Freezing. Sometimes it takes several minutes to come back and sometimes it throws me back to the phone's main. I haven't experienced it with tab selectors of other chromium browsers so I don't know what to think about it. Check also the dedicated thread on this very forum. Cheers.
@mrninko About how it looks: I'm pretty sure like this: http://www.opera.com/blogs/mobile/2016/06/us-help-us-test-new-browser-concept/
About disabling feed news fortunately there is some extra info in the mobile blog announcement.
Quoting:
The news feed has various customization and subscription options — you can connect your Twitter account, or pick your favorite channels, for instance — and there is even a new reader mode which offers a really clean reading experience. You can also configure in Settings if you want to use the news feed or rather stick to Speed Dial as your default start page. -

I have experienced the exact same issue across all current builds of Opera Mobile. I've filed a bug report for all applicable browsers several weeks ago, but so far nothing has been done about it.

worst ever....
You killed the layout with tabs? Only for phones anymore?
You know, that some systems, like samsung tablets, have an overlay button on lower right corner???
(is there the tab-switch???)Fact is, after update i have no more access to my open tabs...
Or i have, but the ui won't show me without playing for hours (i won't).

Well it seems that the reception wasn't that good in general, check Google Play's comments.

Also when you have open several pages and you are watching (from tap selector perspective) the last/rightest one and click on back button to close tjat page it throws you to SD page first/leftest one page instead of next one page which was opened befrore. For illustration :
How it acts:
Opened: SD, pg1, pg2, pg3, pg4
You are viewing pg4 and close it with back button
It throws you to SDHow it used to work and should:
You are viewing pg4 and close it with back button
It shoul throws you to pg3 -

Also opening bookmarks - opera opens bookmarks everytime in new window. It would ne handy opening in current window (to eliminate lots of opened pages)

Also wondering why is speed dial always "opened" in background? Even when I start to search through search bar in speed dial page, it always open new window and speed dial is still opened in background.

Will there be an update to the old ui within the next week?
Otherwise, after windows, this will be the end of my life with Opera (since late 90ies)....
Anybody of the Opera-guys with a statement? I mean, reaction is about 99% negativ. Not only here.

Notice that back button doesn't work in many cases to reload previous page. But I mean software back button key (android one). Opera's back button works everytime, but could you fix it anyway as it used to work before?

Could you shrink gaps between items in "reading list" and "bookmarks"? There's wasted a lot of free/white space. Shrink it little bit please.

To whom it may concern.
In a reply to my comment on Google Play I was asked about my opinion - If my understanding of the term 'beta' is correct, it would imply working in new features or making minor revisions, whereas you just removed about half of the functions, redid the design and yet made the app slower - every start takes approximately 3-5 seconds to display a static speed dial page. And there is no way of stopping the browser (as there was before with a long back key press) without going into memory management and stopping it. Not to mention the lack of the previously available modes of the interface. -

Does this version bring back the option to use the old tab switcher from version 36?

dislike +++
useless news feed wasting data.
pointless search suggestions in kindergarden design.
crappy unintuitive ui plus combined adress/search fields.
twitter forcefeed and google data slurp included. -

When the planned release
37.1 to other countries?I don't think we will see anything more of 37.1, they have to fix listed issues to some extent, update the chromium version eventually, (I hope the last) and then release it as 38 beta with more countries as well. This looked like a quick preview because of the general outcry for a new version.

no

I'm not enthusiastic for the direction Opera is going in here.
