I don't know what is GX, but I use Tab Suspender Chrome plugin for this. To install Chrome's extensions you need separate plugin (kipjbhgniklcnglfaldilecjomjaddfi). Google it. Strange, what no answers here.

also this first happened when earlier today i was playing a game from steam called "dead island riptides definitive edition" when i closed out of the game everything froze including my browser, so i shut my laptop off turned it back on and sure enough error 0xc0000022. i hope someone can reply soon ❤

@nibbo I've tested on GX with no extensions and the GIFs played when opened. Same result in Opera developer with one extension installed.

In the first video, you are not opening the GIFs, so they aren't playing.
