@joshl I meant to add multiple chrome.webRequest.onHeadersReceived.addListener... in background.js. One for each site you want to handle.

Some not so bad development recently!
It appeared my mobile operator had got a subsidiary ISP! A new server just recently popped up in my Ookla tests: "Megafon"; amazing results!
I called them MO and asked, they told it was theirs, which I just mentioned:)

@leocg I think this is funny, because there are MANY other folks that have complained about this issue, Google has NEVER addressed it....and funny because I may have to search for an extension that disables this.

Well...I hve tried every popup blocker offered, and nothing works, this is a function that obviously Google does not want to offer a choice to disable.

@joshl OK. I had assumed the d: drive was a physically different piece of hardware - I hadn't considered it as being a separate partition on the same physical drive as c:. The possibility of surface problems on a second physical drive was why I raised the earlier question. With both partitions instead living on the same drive, the odds are that if there aren't sector/drive issues on one partition, the same would be true for the other partition.

I certainly hope you can get yourself on the road to some meaningful healing finally... I assume it's still the arm issue?

@ytrewq This is an Update: Uninstalling and then reinstalling Opera removed the problem pinned-link.
Prior to uninstalling, I copied several key files from the opera installation (e.g. bookmarks, setting, extensions, etc) to another folder, then did a copy-replace of the same files in the new Opera installation to recover all setting, extensions and bookmarks. The operation was successful.

I have noticed that with the current version of Opera I can no longer drag-n-drop links to pin them to the pinned-Opera Icon in the Taskbar.

@leocg Nah, I wouldn't say Opera's blog is so popular, the beta/stable comments rarely reach 50-100 comments and even the dev reaches what max 200 comments? I've seen in pcgamer.com articles with 1200+ comments and never such a tragedy.
