  A late thanks for your advice. It works fine now with displaying the images.

  But there is still one problem with Opera (12.16) that does not exist with Firefox. Unlike before this image display problem occured, I can no longer save discogs images to the hard drive, as the "Save image ..." context menu is missing. It is present in firefox on the same page.

  When you go to a page with a login/password fields, Opera will ask if you want that data to be remembered ; if you say yes then the next time you go to the same pae, the login and password fields will be automatically filled.

  Thanks, I Think I got it. Although there is no "\profile\data\ folder" per se, there is a "opera stable folder" that opera says my profile is stored in. I'm guessing thats it. At least I hope so 'cause once I begin the tear down everything is gone.

  Thanks for the answers. It was really easy as frenzie mentioned.
  I just needed to copy the bookmarks file to chrome's folder. Afterwards they automatically appeared in google chrome's quick access bar.

  Opera really needs to improve its bookmark system. Until v12 opera had the best implementation. Now it's not as good.

  The quick access bar is good, but lacks the ability to search.
  I really like the speed dial, it's a good way to access my top 20 pages, but still, opera need a valid bookmark system (or at least a good extension).

  You can't have the old Opera 12 sidebar anymore, unfortunately.

  To get your bookmarks into a quick access bar just under the address bar, go to opera:flags (type it into the address field) and enable the quick access bar. Then go to Menu -> More Tools -> Bookmark Importer. This will retrieve your bookmarks from Opera Link, I believe. Otherwise you might have to point it to your old bookmarks folder or something.

  You need an extension called "download chrome extensions " or something like that.

  Just install it and go to Chrome store. To install a Chrome extension just click on the "free" button.

  Well I just played with 19 and it doesn't have this problem, but it has some other problems I'm not keen on (being beta and all). I suppose I'll wait it out.

  I'll install it, I don't expect it to delete or otherwise damage the settings, bookmarks, passwords, etc I how have but I'll backup the folder anyway. Just for your information, the only problem I have encounter is that after reboots the screen is not full and I have to click on the setting to make it fill the screen otherwise everything else is working as expected.

  Like in Opera 12.16 and older, nope. But you can save your open tabs as a SD group if you want to open them later.
