@xom2000 Yeah, this issue was resolved but fear not! Opera is back at it again and we have even more annoying issues.
Just go to the Opera Reddit and find out the new retarded issues.
@andrew84 After doing the process and maximizing the page, if I use the mouse wheel first it indeed becomes unresponsive, using the mouse wheel is causing the issue you described alright and I can confirm this.
@andrew84 said in Can't scroll if mouse is on corner of screen:
Yes, sure. But if only one window is opened, then closing and opening window = opening the browser again.
I meant to say tabs instead of window, once it becomes unresponsive I don't have to close Opera nor restart it, I only need to close the unresponsive tab and that's it, the other tabs are still working fine when this happens, it's weird that you need to restart Opera when this happens though so something else must be happening in your end. I do have Tab Island disabled, don't know if that has something to do with it, try disabling it if you have it enabled and see if you still need to close Opera when the issue happens.
@andrew84 said in Can't scroll if mouse is on corner of screen:
@xzabuzax I can confirm the issue and I posted the same in recent Developer threads multiple times, but the issue leaked to Stable anyway.
But maybe can you tell me, after you move window and the click 'maximize' button to restore the window, web page stay responsive to mouse clicks and mouse scrolling?
Here the page becomes fully unresponsive and only browser restart helps.
*I'm not sure, but page is unresponsive problem after maximizing happens only on 100% scaling in Windows settings (recommended in my case ). If I set more than 100% (125%,150% ), page doesn't loose the responsivity.
You can check my demo

Yeah, I can confirm this too, it doesn't happen all the time though so it's weird, sometimes the page is irresponsible and it stops working, but other times it works.
When it stops working I don't have to restart the browser, I just need to close the window and open it up again and it works.
Goddamn it! Opera One got updated to the latest version and the Scroll Bar is having issues now, if you move the mouse to the corner of the screen and try to select the scroll bar, it doesn't get selected, the entire window is moved instead, goddamn it, do you Opera developers even test your software before releasing the update?
I have the latest Opera One but this issue has been happening for a while already, the bookmark loses the icons when you hover the mouse over it, however, if you close the bookmark and hover the mouse over it again the icon appears again, this issue started happening with a particular update that happened a few days ago.
If you close and open Opera One then the issue appears again.
If you have the window maximized and you move the cursor of the mouse to the scroll bar on the right but the cursor hits the corner then the scroll bar won't work since you can't select it, you need to move the mouse a little bit to the left to select the scroll bar, this is SO annoying, this is the only browser that does this shit! this never happened with the previous version.
The culprit for this annoying issue or bug is the new stupid border that was added on the right in Opera One, for the love of god, please fix this shit! in the beginning I kind of liked the new GUI but I'm starting to hate it now, this is so annoying!
The latest Opera version fixed the issue, I don't know why it took them this long to fix it.
Opera version 76.0.4017.123 didn't fixed this annoying issue for me, how is this issue taking so long to get fixed? I've never had this issue before, it only started happening recently.
So annoying.
I have the same issue, the "Reopen last closed tab" option is not working properly.
So for example, if I close Opera and open it, the "Reopen last closed tab" will work for a while, but after using Opera for a couple of minutes the "Reopen last closed tab" won't work properly anymore and will open a random tab and not the previous one that was closed recently. I'm using the latest Opera version btw and this issue is not fixed yet.

This is bug DNA-89542. It's fixed internally and backported to Opera Stable. Fix will probably be in the next update.
Perfect!, I'm glad to know this issue is actually a bug, I got so used to it and now I don't want to use a browser without this feature.

Just tested in the latest Stable version (same as you listed) and it works here. I middle-clicked on my speed dial for these forums and it opened in the background in a different tab, and the tab that has my speed dial in it still has the folder open. Change any settings in Windows lately - especially in the Mouse setup?
Beta and Developer builds can be downloaded from the Desktop blog, there are links to the latest builds in the right column (scroll down).
That's odd, I'm not sure why the feature is working for you and isn't working for me, I assure you that I didn't change any settings in Windows nor changed my mouse configuration or anything like that, I simply updated Opera and the feature stopped working, this has never happened before.
BTW, here's a video I recorded of the issue I'm talking about: https://mega.nz/file/oNB2WJZQ#xUo-l-Dvon1Ndi2biwrI2KwGbr1vfsfPph3HQl8UeSo
Look how I open a Bookmark folder and once I press Middle-Click to open the link in a background tab the little window instantly closes (when it's supposed to stay open), this never happened for me with any Opera versions I used and I've been using Opera for more than a decade, I've probably been using it for more than 18 years or something.
BTW, I'm still using Windows 7 Ultimate (SP1), I don't think that has nothing to do with the issue but letting you know my OS just in case.
Thanks for providing the link for the Developer builds.
@sgunhouse said in Another feature is gone when I updated Opera... *sigh*:
Version of Opera? Works in the latest Developer build, so if it isn't working in some other version that would be a bug.
I really hope that's the case, when I updated I got Version:72.0.3815.148 and this version removed the useful feature I'm talking about.
Can you please investigate this issue to see if the version I'm using removed it because of an error in the code or a bug?
BTW, where can I get the latest developed build? I rather use an incomplete developer build with the feature in it. This feature is one of my main reasons I stick with Opera.
I'm a long time Opera user, I've been using this browser for decades, I understand that some features come and go but I got extremely disappointed when an important feature (for me) that I used all the time got removed once I updated Opera, what the feature does is this:
When you click your Bookmark folder it will open a little window with a bunch of links that you have inside of it and if you press the Middle-Click button with the mouse (the button with the wheel) the link will open in a new tab but the little window from the Bookmark folder stays open, this is useful to me because I can open a bunch of links from that Bookmark folder easily but now this feature got removed, now every time I Middle-Click a link it will close the little window so I need to open the Bookmark folder every time I open a new link, this isn't good for me and Opera just got worse for me in every aspect because of this.
Does anyone know how to get that feature back? does an addon exist with that feature? I really don't want to downgrade Opera just to get that feature again.
