Thanks for the tip. This helped me to.
I am using Opera Developer and some time ago it just started stuttering all fullscreen videos except youtube, using HTML5 there.
Did not have a clue what it was but this PPAPI fixed it.

RE: RIP Stash, and long live bookmarks!Opera for Windows
This was very interesting and good news.
I immediately d/l the developer build and installed it. Must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
It is a very good step in the right direction. Could even be so that I go back to this as my default browser now.
Hope it will be developed further, and as some has said, that Stash and Bookmarks can coexist. -
RE: Import bookmarks in Opera Next 23.0.1522.43Future releases
No I dont think there was anything wrong with the instructions
The problem I assume is that I am using Opera Next, installed in the folder "Opera Next".
So when I typed in the command line windows cut it of at the space, even tho I used "".
I got it to work by standing in the correct dir and just typing from launcher.exe in Total Commander. -
RE: What percentage of people are adapting well to the new Opera?Opera for Windows
Why would I want several different add-ons/extensions to do small but important things with there own little icon I have to click on every time?
Question: did you find a browser where you don't need to do that?Actually yes, well, almost anyway, Cyberfox, it has a lot of the features that Opera 12.17 had, tho you still need a few extensions, like mouse gestures, but you can configure them A LOT, I can get "Open link in tab".
Actually, that is the only extension so far that has anything to do with that sort of things. It also has some features that are not available In this new Opera with extensions.
Like the popup window when scrolling though tabs (invaluable) with right+wheel or ctrl+tab.
A real sidebar with bookmarks or history. Quick access to bookmarks with keyboard shoortcuts, A REAL bookmarks manager. But, it also misses some things that I liked with this new opera, like the Stash function, I did come to like that for links to pages that I will come back to, but will not need to save in bookmarks.
Also the better Speed-Dial page.Probobly forgot something in either way. But I will still keep Opera Next and 12.17 just in case, well Next mostly so I can keep up with what is happening.

Ok, so finally got it to work, thanks again. But still, wow, all this work just for that.

RE: Import bookmarks in Opera Next 23.0.1522.43Future releases
Don't think that I saw that one so thanks.
But, anyway, cant get it to work. I get an error message that says that the "Location is not availible" and in the message it has broke on at "Opera // Next" to a new lineWith profile path you mean the path where the bookmarks.adr file is, right?
Sigh, now wonder people are a little irritated with the program if this is what sometimes is needed just to get it to a usable state.
Anyway, will try a little more, but soon giving up on it.

RE: Import bookmarks in Opera Next 23.0.1522.43Future releases
Yes I know, and now I havnt really found anything, except what I wrote about Chromium.
Sorry, es it is from opera 12.17, and no, it didnt ask anything about importing.
Also, yes I know that there should be an import feature, it should be under "More Tools", correct?
But it is not there.
Oh well, if nothing else.

Import bookmarks in Opera Next 23.0.1522.43Future releases
Yes yes yes, another topic about bookmarks.
I am trying Opera Next now again for the first time in a while and I have been reading the whole day off and on
about what new things a features and extensions there are.All bookmark extensions, well except Opera Bookmark Manager, which is really crap, seem to use the bookmarks bar.
So one has to get all the bookmarks there first.
There is supposed to be a option here, right? "Menu - More Tools"??
The only things I have there are "Clear Browsing Data, Synchronize and Enable Developer Tools".
Whats up?I know you can install Chromium, import there then manually move the file, but, really??

RE: What percentage of people are adapting well to the new Opera?Opera for Windows
I was not talking to you about how it feels like, but the starter as he asked how many are adapting well.
If they are doing very well maybe they can hire some more programmers then to speed up the development?
What I and I guess many others are complaining about and that I don't understand why they praisers of the new opera are so furiously defending is that Opera used to have (yes in another engine) a whole bunch of amazing features.
What I cant understand is that when you update your program you just stop supporting what you had and throw the users a underdeveloped beta of your new program. Normally I would expect a developer to keep supporting the old until the new was as good as that.
The other browsers never had the functions in it in the first place anyway.

RE: What percentage of people are adapting well to the new Opera?Opera for Windows
I am trying to adapt but I am not really feeling it sadly.
And can you three, I think who you are, stop saying there are extensions for everything and this and that.
That never works as good as it built in, as long as they can not really "extend it in to the program".Why would I want several different add-ons/extensions to do small but important things with there own little icon I have to click on every time?
This opera Next does not even work correct here in the forums, it does not load the avatars.
I have spent the entire day, well, off and on, to find a good replacement for 12.17, but not really feeling anything. Now I am trying to get this latest Opera Next to usable performance, but well, not really getting there.
To me it feels like the people working on it now are not at all the same people that made the old so good and have no idea what really made it so.

RE: opera 20 vs ChromeOpera for Windows
This thread got a little out of hand and it seems the creator thought the same.
I cont give or think about any reason really to use the new Opera, I still use 12.17, but it is a little irritating with resource-hogging.One thing that I can NEVER understand in these threads here is the term and in what way SPEED-dial is used.
For me that term indicates a short "list" of easily and very quickly accessed items. In a phone it would mostly be numbers.
Here it is web pages.
But as many try to convince the complainers (me included) the seems to want you to use it as a sort of bookmarkish-alternative.When you have more than maybe 10 items, its not really a SPEED-Dial anymore, and certainly not if you have folders in it...
I don't really under stand that. Its just some sort of Bookmarks-alternative that is not as easily over viewed and organized imo. -
RE: Let's get right down to it, Opera Devs: Where, on God's green earth, are BOOKMARKS??Future releases
I really have to say my thought about this now.
As so many others, it seems, I have been using opera for a loooong time, since it was a paid browser.
I am still using 12.17, because well, its the best browser there is really. Well, with one problem, that you have to restart it every so often otherwise it hogs up way to much resources.
And as irritating as that can be, its not nearly as irritating as upgrading to a new version of the browser and there is NOTHING of the old left.I tried Opera Next as late as today to see if it was any better, had it installed since earlier and also tried a fresh install.
The biggest problem ofc is Bookmarks, and NO Stash and Speed Dial are not good replacements.
Bookmarks bar... erhh... I dont want another bar to take place in my browser, its fine with a menu or quick access manager (F4).
On that note, Bookmarks bar seems to really fucking bad implemented, I cant import any bookmarks to it.
There is just no option where its supposed to be. Menu - More Tools - No import bookmarks.I know about extensions also, the official Bookmarks Manager is just SHIT and all the rest wants to use the bookmarks bar.
It is REALLY bad that you would need to spend hours of time just to get a WEB BROWSER in good working condition. That is just not a good program then.
