[Solved]Missing import of passwordsOpera for Windows
This only affects only my laptop. All my other computers do not have this issue. I have the latest version of opera for windows 10 and a desktop running windows 7. Another desktop running windows 10 as well. The one that is running win 7 computer has a older version of opera as it does not have sse3 processor. The laptop doesn't have the import passwords option at all under the opera's flag setting. All the other computers the option is there. I even did a clean install of opera on the laptop, still no import of password under flag setting. I even went to a website to logon so opera would save a password. Password saved by opera. All I have is export under opera's setting.
Thanks, for reading this, hope you can help. -
RE: Latest build network activity when shouldn'tOpera for Windows
In opera 36 I have sync disabled, as I have with previous builds. I didn't make any change to it in version 37. Haven't checked to see if that remained so in the latest build. Does updating to opera 37 enable it again without user input or does it retain my disabled setting from the previous build? Right now in opera 36 I am not signed in to use sync. I trust that you have to sign in to use sync in opera 37 as well.
Thanks for your reply lando242

Latest build network activity when shouldn'tOpera for Windows
I installed opera 37.0.2178.43 updated from 36.0.2130.65. This is for windows 7. Since then, my network activity for my dial up connection is active even when a web page isn't even loading. I have my startpage set as about:blank. I have the network indicator installed that gives you the two little monitors in the notification area like xp had. It blinks like crazy when it shouldn't be. Close opera and the blinking stops. Start opera again, after a while issue starts again. Downgraded back to opera 36 issue is gone. Anyone have any idea what the latest version is accessing that the previous version doesn't? I always disable the autoupdates after installs of opera. Can't load webpages when something else is hogging access in the latest build.

RE: Images not loading correctlyOpera for Windows
I've had excellent results with the extension called "Images reloader" Download it here: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/images-reloader/
Comes in handy as I am on dial up as it will try to reload the failed images without me having to refresh the whole webpage.

RE: Java not working after update to 34Opera for Windows
Well you could install a Chrome Extension that allows operating IE within chrome base browsers. The extension is called "IE Tab" You can download it from the Chrome Web Store. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ie-tab/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd?hl=en
If you don't have the "Download Chrome Extension" that has to be installed first for opera before you can download extensions from the chrome web store: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en
IE Tab Documentation: http://www.ietab.net/ie-tab-documentation?fr=v1
The IE Tab Extension will allow the use of java and even activex content within chrome base browsers.

RE: Cannot commentOpera for Windows
I had the same issue on facebook. Couldn't get the cursor to show in the comment box, thus been unable to leave a comment. Clearing out opera's cache solved the problem for me.

RE: [Solved]Latest built issues with FacebookOpera for Windows
As I previously stated here, that clearing out the cache solved the problem. All is good now.

RE: [Solved]Latest built issues with FacebookOpera for Windows
Seems to be just an issue on my desktop computer. Facebook on laptop works just fine. Both have the same version of opera as I originally stated. Will try the update later. If no go, will clear out opera's cache.

[Solved]Latest built issues with FacebookOpera for Windows
I am just wondering if other users of the latest build opera 31.0.1889.99 are having issues with it on facebook? Seems that I can't make a comments in the comment box on friends postings or status updates on my own facebook profile. Nothing that I type appears. The "Write a comment..." remains within the comment box. Works fine in Internet Explorer 10.
What I tried:
- Disable all extensions
- Disable all plugins
- Restarted Opera.
- Reload facebook page from serve not the cache.
Still the same issue.
Operating System: Windows 7

RE: opera 30.0Opera for Windows
If you are checking the help page "keyboard shortcut F1" from opera 12 then you only get information related to opera 12. Presuming that you also have opera 30 installed, its' help page will only deal with version 30. Both operas are separate installs.

RE: Cant import passwords?Opera for Windows
Go here: https://forums.opera.com/post/70990
On second thought, may not work for you as this exports passwords from opera 15 and above and imports to opera without the password list. One thing when I went from opera 12.17 to the newer version of opera it offered to import the save passwords from opera 12.17 into the newer version of opera that I installed.

When using a mouse, click down on your mouse wheel when on a link. This will take you to the web site in a newly launched tab.

RE: Opera 28 No "Open Image in New Tab" FunctionOpera for Windows
On facebook the 3 by 3 picks of friends on anyone's profile may have images that don't have all of them load. The area below the cover photo to the left. No "open image in new tab" for the ones that fail to load well the ones in the same group that successful load does have it. I like the way that opera 12.17 and earlier dealt with images. Have it set to "No images". If then you wanted a certain image to show up all you had to do was right click on that area and select "reload image". It would do just that. Also it was easy to see where an image was suppose to be. Where a gif was to be you would see a box with words in it like epguide.com for example. Visit http://epguides.com/search/ that same site with opera 28 and you have no clue where an image would be when you have images turned off. In other words, opera 12.17 had a placeholder for hidden images well newer versions of opera doesn't if images were turned off. There is no "reload image" option for the newer versions of opera.

I know that. I just went to their opera report a bug wizard web site and reported it there.

RE: Opera 28 No "Open Image in New Tab" FunctionOpera for Windows
I didn't notice it myself. I too am on dial up. So I went to facebook where I know I get quite a few images that don't load. If you right click on one of those drop out images the "open image in new tab" doesn't appear. If you right click on an image that successful loaded then it shows. You don't get that option on facebook of the little profile picture by a posters name if it loads or not. I use windows 7 and currently use Opera 28.0.1750.48 Should let the developers know about this so it is fix in future updates.

RE: How can I move the password on the second computer.Opera for Windows
Here you go: a free tool to export and import Chrome/Opera passwords http://www.pepak.net/files/tools/chromepass-0.01.zip
Extract zip files to each computer. Run ChromePass_GUI.exe part of the program to export passwords to a file. Copy that file over to the computer without opera passwords and import it with the same tool. Thanks to pepak from this posting: https://forums.opera.com/topic/4616/opera-22-23-password-migration

RE: 28.0.1750.48 - An error occurred while checking for updatesOpera for Windows
Check your opera's 28.8.1750.48 folder. You'll find it where you installed opera. Open this folder and you should see opera_autoupdate.exe if it is missing or renamed because someone deleted or renamed because he/she didn't want the automatic update to kick in. That is the error you will see if a change was made to it. Myself I just add .old at the end of .exe I like to check manually for an update. When I am ready I delete the .old and go to opera menu and select "About Opera". If there is an update, it will let me know and download the update. Doing it this way, I control when I want to update opera.
Edit: Some other things that can prevent autoupdate access: Seen here: https://forums.opera.com/topic/645/how-to-disable-opera-auto-update/9
