Yes, indeed it does, thank you! It appeared that I have to hold the wheel being pressed for the very long time (a couple of secs perhaps) to make a click successfuly. Guess I need another mouse, thought of Logitech better
Is it possible now? It seems it used to be. Also, with Shift pressed in the background new tab
@davehawley, yeah as it appears this issue is known for several weeks already, since the 49.0 release. And we still can't see any 49.1 fix of that major flaw. This is unacceptable. Nor we don't have a word from Opera on this issue in the devs' blogs.
Pondering on downgrading to 48 or getting out ol' good (bad) FF. Any news on 50s betas, are they still flash bonkered?
Same Flash player issue on all sites using to play music.
This release is broken, we do need a new one ASAP!
...rather than Settings/Extensions page.
Since now we have two sidebars it's a bit confusing but on the other hand we have a decent quick button to open extensions bar which not all time is needed to be turned on. Current access method to the ext.bar via keyboard shortcut, which is the only available one now, is not sufficient and convenient from the POV of U/X.
Also, quick access to the extensions settings usually needed much less than [sidebar] extensions themselves. So, it would be logical to change behavior browser's sidebar Ext. button to open ext. bar
...rather than Settings/Extensions page.
Thank you!
I think topic starter should reask his question in the Russian subforum instead of confusing people here with a machine translation.
The video posted here is also as meaningless as the question itself.
how can I reduce it for non-maximised windows
I'm afraid you can't, sorry! But that's the Windows OS where people have a browser window maximized.
yeah, on 16:9 monitors it's probably okay, I just don't like and need to have it open all the time. I do appreciate my screen real estate.
I don;t need No friggin' omnisidebar! Just a modest button or better yet a clickable border 5px wide. Well, do you remember the good ole Opera browser in its best times? We're still missing it...
I suggest using a different color of 'Menu' button. Orange would be fine.
PS I guess I shouldn't explain much why and for... I only tell ya that I use Turbo mode when need an access to the web sites blocked by censorship (yes, there are still plenty of bloody bastards and idiots nowadays).
That's what one girl called 'in their infinite wisdom...'.
Surely, I've got 'Delay loading of background tabs' setting switched on: it should have an exception for 'pinned' tabs.
It's a must, now I tell you why. Ususally I've got a pinned page opened at https://web.whatsapp.com/ (it's a very useful communicating tool, beleive me). Today I almost missed an important call (from a slim chick) because the page hasn't been reloaded upon a browser start and therefore I didn't get a notification from Whatsapp on my monitor (yes, events come to a PC via wire much faster than to a phone over the air).
PS Probably some good extension which display notifications might be a better solution than a pinned tab but there are so many identical (just open the page on button click) that one day I realized that I completely lost (=
I noticed that having a tab with page opened at http://facebook.com (which happens sometimes) my computer didn't go into sleep, whereas I did (=
Usually that observation with a frustrated feeling catches me in the early morning/day/eve/deepnight after/if I got awake.
I detest vasting energy, and pay for vasted too.
Opera Software (R) BE GREEN, SAVE THE FORESTS OF AMAZONIA!
There are quite a few useful sidebar extensions but I couldn't find any means (button, sidebar ribbon, whatever) to close that sidebar with mouse, at the very least. Perhaps, there is a special extension to do that?
Is it a joke or we are really supposed to switch from a mouse to keyboard during browsing in 2016?
P.S.
Also, do developers actually read these fora or the latter are just for letting users' vapor out (into nowhere)?
Has anything changed in this regard since June?
PS And yes, I mean UI controls. Not gonna even think about fiddling with pref. files for that thing, at least on this platform.
Wonder what users of Opera browsers (on all platforms) should expect/have to do now?
Is there any chance that the current developers team with their experience and the right to commit patches into WebKit repository (granted them by Apple & Google exactly because of experience) will be preserved?
Anyhow, this issue is a moot now. Since the news about Opera Software upcoming sale has been published.
