This web page https://areena.yle.fi/tv/opas looks very odd in my Opera browser compared to Chrome browser. Or is it because I have an older version of Opera because I don't like the new Opera.

RE: Your connection is not private problemOpera for Windows
The displayed error may be shown when your certificate setup is out of date - if you’re using Windows 7, you have to renew them manually (since Microsoft doesn’t support Windows 7 anymore). A lot of websites rely on those certificates for authentication purposes. Please check whether the DST Root CA X3 certificate is still valid on your computer, and if you have the new ISRG Root X1 already installed by any chance. You can do so by running certmgr.msc in the command line.
If you don’t have the ISRG Root X1 certificate set up yet, here’s a quick-how to:
How to setup the ISRG Root X1 certificate on Windows 7/10:
Download the .der ISRG Root X1 certificate file from https://letsencrypt.org/certificates/. If you can’t access the website, try downloading this file to a different machine, and transferring it (e.g. pendrive).
Click the downloaded file to start the installation process. (or left click and choose install)
Click install certificate.
Click “Next” on the next window
Select “Place all certificates in the following store”:
Click “Browse” and select “Trusted Root Certification Authorities”. Confirm the changes by pressing “OK” and “Next”:
Finish the certificate installation by pressing “Finish”:You can press the Windows key + R to bring up the Run command, and type certmgr.msc and press Enter to open the certmgr.msc window and to check if the installation was successful (the ISRG Root X1 Certificate should appear under the Trusted Root Certification Authorities Certificate Store)
(You can download new DST Root CA X3 certificate replacement following the link in the same website.)

RE: General Questions About Opera TopicOpera for computers
@jecob53673 said in General Questions About Opera Topic:
shift my all sites to Opera
I am confused: As far as I know you can't shift your sites to Opera, you just shift web browser to browse your web sites with Opera. Or have I misunderstood your message?

RE: [Duplicated] Can't set Opera as default browser on Windows 7Opera for Windows
@flandres64 You should do that as administrator. I installed Opera from downloaded file instead of net install. I have Windows 7 and never had any problems. If you have reinstalled your windows shortly before strange things happen, check the installation.

I use Firefox with uBlock origin in my android phone instead of Opera because I don't want to see ads. In pc I use Opera with the same extension.

RE: [Duplicated] Can't set Opera as default browser on Windows 7Opera for Windows
There has been a known problem before, I dont know if it has been fixed:
"The problem is that if you install Opera "For the current user", then it does not appear in the "Select default programs" section.
You can install Opera "For all users" and then Opera will be displayed in that section." -

@losos Have you tried Control Panel --> Default Programs?
"Set your default programs" or "Set program access and computer defaults" let you choose default browsers and files. -

ABOUT FIREFOX: Browsers other than Firefox generally use the operating system's facilities to decide which certificate authorities are trusted. Firefox instead had certificate list as part of the browser, but that has changed. Maybe you have an old version of Firefox. https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2021/07/28/making-client-certificates-available-by-default-in-firefox-90/

RE: Right of url windowOpera for Windows
@leocg Click the green button with text " Add to Opera". Here text is "Installed" because I have already installed it to Opera.
-
RE: Right of url windowOpera for Windows
@sleepwalk1949 There should be a large green button with the words "Add to Opera" in the right. Can't you see it?

RE: Right of url windowOpera for Windows

Could you give examples of web sites that look odd in your browser? Are there missing images or is the font different? -
RE: [Solved]Bitwarden icon in extension bar instead of sidebarOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Thanks!
I was completely unaware of that function. Now I can see all my extension icons in a neat row! I was used to the old style toolbar customizing. I wonder if there is still a way to customize Operas icons before address bar also?

[Solved]Bitwarden icon in extension bar instead of sidebarOpera for Windows
Is there any way to have Bitwarden icon up in the extension bar instead of sidebar? I have small screen and can't use sidebar. When I installed Bitwarden extension it created icon only to the sidebar. (Bitwarden is a password manager)

RE: Webpages not loading correctly w/ Win 11Opera for Windows
@rubyslipper Might have something to do with adblocking if some sites load correctly and some don't? Have you tried loading without adblocking?
I would also try disabling extensions. -

@burnout426 Thanks for answer! I'm not sure if I understand how this start page works but good to know it's probably normal to have two instances.
