I'm just asking for ot to be made easier to disable or enable automatic updates and it could be included in optional extensions for those who want to disable the updates and can't figure out how to do it the other way or can't find what they need to find to stop the updating.

This thread is a mess and is mixing issues and doesn't explain easily what the request is. Please create a new topic following this guide if you want to make a suggestion.

I've already seen that thread and I found out there were sidebar extensions that fix it to make Opera into a usable browser though the bookmarks should get fixed properly so they show up in the menu like they used to before the update.
