I've also had to reset my own account password recently and I've had to fix my sign in here.

RE: How can I customize Opera's start page?Opera for Windows
I've been using New Tab Start page Pro https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/new-tab-start-page-pro/?display=en
and it fixed my issues with setting the home page after an Opera update broke the old extension I used to use for this. -
RE: Updates for operaOpera for Windows
I've found it very annoying when Ipera automatically updated and the update would break something on the browser.I'd rather have more control of how it's updated or even if I update.I was even given the option to upgrade to Windows 10 and decided to stay away from it and stick with Windows 7 where I have a choice about updates.I disabled updates in Firefox and update it by installing a new version over the old one so I can roll back if the new version is bugging and gltiching out.

RE: Ugly Speed Dial without my permissionOpera for Windows
I've found the automatic update to be such a pain that I also want to be able to easily opt out of that nonsense and just update manually which is a lot easier than having it update autmatically and having to try to roll back if the new version is full of bugs and glitches.

RE: Goodbye Opera, I tried, I really tried. I'm going back to Chrome.Opera for Windows
You need extensions to export the bookmarks from Opera and more extensions for so many other things Opera used to have internally like site permission settings which I use uBlock and uMatrix to fix that issue and V7 bookmarks allow you to export the blookmarks from Opera.I felt like you just a short time before adding a bunch of extensions to fix the issues I was having because Opera is the best browser for working with Blogspot blogs when you're trying to edit a blog.
I found Firefox almost unusable for the blog and have no other choice besides Opera if I want to keep working with my blog.Opera is unusable without some of the extensions I listed and two are critical to using Opera for better safety by giving you back the control over site permissions.I found a few extensions that gave the option to export the blookmarks which is what you need to add to Opera if you have a Blogspot blog. -
RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
I just discovered uBlock and uMatirx which claim to be for more advanced users are great impovements over letting Opera control site permissions and I've found them a lot more user-friendly than any other site permission extensions with greater control over site permissions. It means you can set strict permissions for searches and relax them greatly for visits to you known sites.

RE: Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.Opera for Windows
I'm just asking for ot to be made easier to disable or enable automatic updates and it could be included in optional extensions for those who want to disable the updates and can't figure out how to do it the other way or can't find what they need to find to stop the updating.

RE: Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.Opera for Windows
I do make updates by installing a new version on Firefox and it allows me to roll back if the new version is still bugged and most of us know how to update manually and would rather not have automatic updates forced on us when we're not ready to update and might be in the middle of something else.
I turned automatic updates off for Firefox because installing a new version is like updating though it's a lot safer and still leaves the older version there in case you have to roll back temporarily until bugs in an updated version are fixed.I'd rather see options to update manually or automatically and see new updates released to develpoers to test before being released to the general users after a few got released with major bugs and glitches like the bookmarks in the menu not working and other issues. -
RE: Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.Opera for Windows
I just want us to have the choice because other have started glitching out in other ways and I started out suggesting having ways to fix loading issues on windows for logging in and on getting ways to customize site permissions which is a problem for more than just myself.Others have started complaining about sites getting blocked and log in windows not loading correctly.I found no extensions or ways of controlling the site permissions other that a basic permission menu and it's not even being honored and it's too basic.

RE: Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.Opera for Windows
This sounds like something got glitched out in recent Opera updates because they get released untested to the casual user and being able to chose how to update by setting to allow automatic updates or to manually check for and install updates is available in Firefox and I disabled the automatic updates and download a full installer of the next version when it's time to update and that works best for any browser.

RE: Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.Opera for Windows
I've got the latest version of Opera and I'm using Windows 7.
I'd need a video screen recorder to show the example of the flickering log in window because a screenshot won't show the issue.I can only give the web address of one site where log-in windows act up.I've got the address for http://nraas.wikispaces.com/ which is one of the sites where log in windows misbehave. -
RE: Give Us A way to lock in and stabilize log-in windows that keep flashing and blinking.Opera for Windows
It's a major bug that started happening a few monthes ago with an update and there needs to be a way to stop the bouncing log in windows like when you try to log into a site you belong to and the log-in window starts flashing when it opens and refuses to stop doing that for you to log in.This is a bug that hasn't been fixed for ages and it needs something done about it to correct it so logging in isn't a pain for those affected by this bug.

RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
This can be any site a user is highly familiar with like http://nraas.wikispaces.com/ where I always have an issue with a flashing log-in window and parts of the site being blocked.Other users were reporting having issues like this with their own frequented sites.
Most of us with sites being blocked or partially blocked want to have our control over what we feel is safe and not have a browser decide that for us. -
RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
It's happened so often I don't always get a screen and some of the issues can't be shown in a screen because it's a flashing log-in window. You must just be lucky that yours isn't buggy or glitching out like it is for me.I hate it ehen a browser decides to block a site it determines is "unsafe" when I've been using the site for a long time and know it's actually safe to use. This has been happening since updates started getting pushed on users automatically and before they were even ready for general use. This means we're getting untested updates forced on us and having issues with the browser like sites being blocked and controls are being hidden from users menues so we can't set our own controls anymore.

RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
I'm talking about site permission controls need to be given to the user because this browser is acting like a dictator and telling users what is safe and blocking things we know are safe and have used before.I wouldn't mind a user controlled safe mode being available for web searches and being able to have advanced control over site permissions at other times while visiting known and trusted sites.

RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
I happens on different sites and affects others besides me.I noticed a thread in another section about this issue started by another Opera user.It can affect almost any site at any time since recent updates to Opera were forced on us.
-
RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
It's been happening to some sites ever since recent updates were forced on us that the site permission settings we did have are not being honored and it's causing sites to get blocked so it isn't loading fully which is annoying and I use AVG for virus protection and firewall protection like most online users do if they have any sense.I used to have Norton and couldn't replace it with AVG fast enough.
The new changes in Opera sometimes block us from downloading things we wanted to download or occasionally even stop a site from loading at all.I've seen others posting about not being able to get onto sites because the sites are being blocked and the poster is very upset and frustrated by the issue. -
RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
I made a seperate post for each issue and the one in this thread is about the fact that sites are getting blocked or patially blocked with no user controls on what the site permissions can be set and there's an extension recently released for Firefox that fixed this issue for that browser with advaced controls for site permissions and I'm looking for that here and I've seen another user looking for better control over site permissions.
The issues actually started with some of the recent Opera updates and the current controls for this are no longet working and the settings aren't being honored if we changed them.I'm finding too many sites getting blocked or not loading correctly and others not functioning when they do load because I can't change site permissions or have too few options to change to allow the site to load.
Sorry about the other bad posts.I've got a few sticking keys on my keyboard. -
RE: try use mouse but dont let in all site i want visit why ??Opera for Windows
This is becoming a major issue with Opera since the recent updates and I've posted in suggestions about this exact issue since I'm having problems with being blocked out of some sites I like to visit on Opera.

RE: Give Us Greater Control Over Site Permission Settings.Suggestions and feature requests
I've read it and found nothing about my issues with not having any control over site permissions and it's upsetting to others when this loss of control blocks their sites like it's blocking mine.I'm not the only one who's upset about having control over what I've got access to taken away by Opera.
