Can you please give option so I don't have to confirm my decision to quit?

RE: Import passwords in Opera 30Opera for Linux
Try removing the master password in Firefox, and then import to Opera. Make sure to backup Firefox folder first.
I've had the same issue, and it only loaded logins, not the passwords, and that works up until the version 29. After the update to Opera 30 no imported logins/passwords showed at all, until I downgraded back to version 29. and I am still on 29. so it may even be impossible to import logins/passwords to version 31. if they didn't fix that, or they even may call it a "new feature" instead of a bug. -

RE: Opera is "calling home" when history deletedOpera for Android
Thanks for the answer, I appreciate it, although all this isn't the case, because I am deleting cookies and history while no page is open. I'm gonna make a video and post it.

RE: Does Opera For Tablet/Android Update AutomaticallyOpera for Android
OH Lord please don't let Opera developers auto-update any of the Opera products, please don't let that happen, it will be just as bad as when M$ bought skype

RE: How to downgrade opera 30 to opera 29Opera for Linux
I have imported them from opera 12, those were gone, the one I typed afterwards in new opera, that one got saved. Maybe it is the imported ones that get lost.

RE: Saved passwords disappeared after update ?Opera for Windows
A firewall? Oh, a joke, nice one
I had to downgrade to version 29 and that solved the problem.

RE: Very slow startOpera for Windows
It is the history saving problem. Delete the (whole) history, just be careful not to delete passwords/logins, and it will start a lot faster, and as the history fills, the startup gradually slows down.
Yes, I know you want your history, I want it too

RE: Totally lost with this bad version!Opera for Windows
And since the Wand is gone, there is no password protection for our passwords/logins, what a nice security hole.

RE: Opera and Pepper flash?Opera for Linux
Yeah, why not use the latest version 30, and say farewell to 90% of your logins ans passwords

RE: How to downgrade opera 30 to opera 29Opera for Linux
Also, if you wish to keep old version of a package, you need to use this command:
apt-mark hold opera-stable
and now you can freely use apt-get dist-upgrade without worrying that something will go wrong with your most used application.

RE: Lost login/passwords after updateOpera for Linux
Okay, so the problem is with Opera 30. Reverting to Opera 29 solved the issue. You can see the solution in the thread named "How to downgrade opera 30 to opera 29".

RE: How to downgrade opera 30 to opera 29Opera for Linux
Turns out version opera-stable_30.0.1835.52_amd64.deb also has a passwords problem, so I am again switching back to opera-stable_29.0.1795.60_amd64.deb

RE: How to downgrade opera 30 to opera 29Opera for Linux
gustavwiz thank you so much for answering. I am very happy to see that there are people here willing to help and also know what needs to be done.
I found a spot easier solution, the last version was still on my disk so I just dpkg-i that last version and my passwords and logins are back woohoo Opera faith restored
So if anyone else needs the same thing solved just type this:
sudo dpkg-i /var/cache/apt/archives/opera-stable_29.0.1795.60_amd64.deb
If you are at version 31 and need to downgrade to version 30, just find the available version(s) like this:
ls -al /var/cache/apt/archives/ | grep -i opera-stable
What you get is the packages you can downgrade to, since 30 is the latest current release, there is no version 31 or which ever it will be in coming months:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 42054384 Svi 20 10:41 opera-stable_29.0.1795.60_amd64.deb
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 42589676 Lip 10 15:56 opera-stable_30.0.1835.59_amd64.debAnd then just use the command provided, just replace the opera-stable[numbers] with numbers of the version available to downgrade to.

How to downgrade opera 30 to opera 29Opera for Linux
Does anyone know how to downgrade the latest opera update to a bit older?
I lost a lot of passwords, and I am sure that would return it back. How naive of me, just typing apt-get dist-upgrade and thinking that Opera will still work, now that they use that Google Chrome crap called webkit
