Yesterday I've had some PC crashes with Opera in work and opened with a full session, and after that it became somehow broken. I've reinstalled Opera over again. Prior to this, I've recovered the working session from the profile directory, but, it is not fully working as previously. So, my session has some 200 open tabs, and after this incident, after accessing a tab, it does not become active itself - it does not load the webpage itself, and it is waiting for me to do it. The reload function does not work (either the button, or F5), and Opera waits for me to resend the URL manually again - one 'Enter' in the address bar is suficient. So, now, to reactivate these tabs I'll have to resend the URLs manually for each tab. A simple click on tab, or quick reload does not work.
I am on Windows 7 & Opera 95.0.4635.84.
Before this incident it worked fine. Is there a way to fix this issue? Maybe it's already known.

Opera must have multiple selection option for cookiesSuggestions and feature requests
Opera must have option for multiple selection of cookies, for mass deletion (but not total).
I have a lot of useless cookie entries for many websites, which I want to delete, but doing this one by one is annoying. Multiple selection would be very usefull there.

RE: The Opera for Windows is Crashing TopicOpera for Windows
After latest updates (January-February) Opera has become more unstable in low-RAM machines. I get crashes very often, almost in each session. A part of crashes are also losing the current session and I have to restore it manually from folder.
I am thinking about a downgrade now.

[Solved]Clear Browsing Data does not clear anymore tabs historyOpera for Windows
Let's say I have a session of 100 tabs. Some 5-10 of them are activated and these tabs have each by a individual history of some 5-7 pages.
Previously, when I used Clear Browsing Data it cleared all this individual history of active tabs. But now it does not do this anymore. After one of the latest Opera updates this feature was modified?

How to disable Google search suggestions in address bar?Opera for Windows
After the latest update,
How to disable Google search suggestions in address bar?
I need only suggestions from history and bookmarks. Perhaps a few Google search suggestions could be after them.E.g. when I type "watch..." I want to see mainly the suggestions from my history and bookmarks, where they are some 5 to 10 entries. Google search suggestions are not so important for me.

RE: [Succesfully recovered] Crash and lost Session (2022)Opera for Windows
Or, a more simple way.
After crash, after you've started Opera and encountered an empty new session, while Opera is open, do a back-up of this folder -> %AppData%\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Sessions
Then you can close Opera, rename/delete current "Sessions" folder, and replace it the one from backup. Keep the backup until you will have a recovered session. Make sure in current "Sessions" folder is only by one "Session_####" and "Tabs_####" file (the smallest one can be deleted).- Important: When you notice that your session was lost, do not start browsing in this new empty session to not overwrite your old main session. For browsing Internet use another browser, another device, or a private windows in Opera (Ctrl+Shift+N).

[Succesfully recovered] Crash and lost Session (2022)Opera for Windows
Just want to share my succesfull experience from past minutes.
Latest Opera version for Windows desktop. Experienced a sudden crash, followed by an instant restart by Opera, resulting in a lost Session. A session of over 200 tabs was close to be lost.
Such crashes I did not noticed for very long time, last time before the user profile folder structure was reorganized in Opera in 2021.Happily I managed to recover it.
While Opera it's not closed yet, it's necessary to do a backup of this folder - %AppData%\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Sessions
After closing this empty Opera session, replace the content of current Sessions folder with that from backup, and delete the file Session_########## with the smallest size from those two (only a few bytes). Eventually the smallest Tabs_### file if there are 2 as well. This should do the trick. -
Sometimes downloads in Opera are not finishing wellOpera for Windows
Noticed this a few months ago, and today again on a clean Opera on a freshly installed Windows. Opera couldn't finish downloading some small updates from Microsoft Update Catalog. It stuck at some 99.99%.
Checked the same MS download in a newly installed Firefox and it worked perfectly.
On Opera started again the same download, and the same problem occured. Paused and relaunched them again, and no succes. Waited so for some 10-15 minutes and they didn't finished to download.Opera - https://imgur.com/zwnOhqh

How to import and merge data from one Opera to another?Opera for Windows
I need to import and merge some data from one Opera installation to another. Especially cookies, and perhaps history. Some passwords already exported-imported manually via that function. About cookies, I can't just replace the file, since I need them both. Is there a way to achieve this?

Opera does not want to import from VivaldiOpera for Windows
I have Vivaldi installed on my Windows. Trying ot import things from it, Opera does not provide such an option. It suggests importing only from Firefox, IE and Chrome.

RE: is there a way to restore my cookies?Opera for Windows
@dawtif Looks like your post about this issue comes together with a recent browser update.
Haven't you noticed if this happened after Opera update or is not related?

RE: constant updates causing passwords lostOpera for Windows
Does anyone of you want to fill a bug in Opera bugtracker?
You can do it from Opera menu (press Alt or that "O" in top left) -» Help -» Report an issue, and fill the bug describing it well. -
RE: Lost lots of data from numerous windows on Opera upon computer restartOpera for Windows
@airin42 You can try data recovery method. With such software like Recuva, Disk Drill, MiniTool Power Data Recovery, Wondershare Recoverit, R-Studio, etc., you can try to recover an older version of your 'History' file from your profile folder - %AppData%\Opera Software\Opera Stable
Not sure if this will help in your case. It's better to have already installed them. Or, if installing now, try to install them on another disk (partition). A portable data recovery tool is preferably. -
RE: constant updates causing passwords lostOpera for Windows
I'm so sorry for you
Also have been in such a situation. You can take a look at this topic, with the same problem reported, maybe you find there something usefull -https://forums.opera.com/topic/51905/constant-updates-causing-passwords-lost/
And, if is the case, you can export passwords from Chrome and Vivaldi and to import them into Opera.
