@gak79 already tried that, ended up needing to when i first reinstalled the app, that didn't help, also, i read the thing for downgrading and ill just use the app partially logged in until its fixed, im not doing all that

@stateofreality after even further testing, the issue seems to be with sync, because if i login but don't sync it works fine, literally the moment i sync the app freezes and crashes and then just won't work, but if i don't sync it's still perfectly fine

so after further testing, i can use the app if i don't login, the moment i login the issue returns

i tried to open a link to an article about gaming, now opera is completely broken, tried uninstalling the app, didn't work, cleared everything, didn't work, restarted the phone, didn't work, i have no idea what broke but i literally cannot use the browser on my phone at all now

• don't have the link that caused it and cant even check cause i can't access the browser

• tried to open a google news link from the feature on my pixel 8 pro, it tried to load then just stopped, i closed the browser and reopened to try and get it to maybe refresh and now the browser just doesn't work, I've reinstalled the app, cleared cache, restarted the phone, the only thing i haven't done is reset the phone which I'm not doing
• expected behavior is that the app works, which it currently doesn't
