Thank you for your understanding as we work on improving Opera One. While reworking the tab strip, we had to temporarily disable some existing features, including "Detaching a tab to a new window." Currently some of the tab management extensions are also not compatible.
However, we want to assure you that we are aware of this issue and are actively working on a solution.
We are grateful for the community's help in identifying known and unknown problems, and we're excited to share that the ability to detach a tab to a new window will be available again in the near future. You can follow up for the upcoming changes here.
@starstriker Did you download the Opera One from www.opera.com/one? Try downloading V99.0.4780.0 from https://get.geo.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera-developer/ and use another browser if you still have an issue.
We are also aware some of the antivirus and VPN providers are flagging Opera One installer. Try disabling them.

@Reitei17 We have a couple of fixes coming. Please bare with us and make sure you enabled "Automatically send crash reports to Opera" in settings.
As a reminder;
This is the earliest experimental roll-out of our browser innovations, and not all of the experiments will move on to the next stages. Please note - because the new features in Opera developer are so raw, they can be unstable and even crash your browser. Test with caution! This is the version for you only if you’re a developer, advanced user or enjoy living on the edge.
@minejulrbx Let's try to debug;
First, let's clarify what data is not being synced in your new PC; are you referring bookmarks, passwords, tabs, pinboards? If you expect to see your old speed dials in your new PC, you should be able to see them under opera://bookmarks/. Keep in mind that Opera sync won't replace Speed Dials in your new PC and new installation.
If your bookmarks and speed dials are not in opera://bookmarks/ in your new device follow these steps;
1- See if you selected "sync everything" enabled in your previous PC. Then go to https://auth.opera.com/ and check your synced data again on your old pc. Make sure you are using the same Opera account for both new and old device.
2- Check your encryption option and see whether you use Opera Credentials or your own passphase in your old device. You can see this Sync -> Advanced sync settings -> Encryption options. Try changing the setting and check auth.opera.com again after a few minutes.
3- Once you see your old pc data is synced in server, then go to Opera One in your new device and login again.
4- If you don't see any synced data in auth.opera, try using a VPN that works in your country and change the location in your old PC. Then check https://auth.opera.com/ again.
5- In case you finally manage to sync your old pc in server, reinstall Opera One while the VPN is on.
6- Still no luck? Install V94 developer in your new device and see if sync works between your devices.
If none of these worked, see this article and let us know the outcome.
Once you logged in, you can see the Speed Dials from other device on Bookmarks feature on the sidebar. You can also try opera://bookmarks/
Thanks for the feedback @iamjthelionking and @DavyP
While adaptive background music like in GX is not being considered in the near future, we're planning to improve the "Player" feature for a better music experience.
If you're looking to customize your sidebar with your favorite websites for easy access, we recommend checking out this post for helpful tips and information.
While we don't have immediate plans to implement add-on syncing, we remain committed to improving sync capabilities for Tabs, Speed Dials, and Islands.
Do you remember the concept browser Opera Neon with split screen?
Keep an eye out for some exciting features on multi-tasking and focused browsing initiatives this year.
@al18974 Thank you for the feedback, you will be able to detach the tab in the upcoming weeks.
Hello @ks2023.
It's cool you are using the site search. However I see one problem with your configuration;
Try this URL instead; https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%s
To make the search in .co.uk, just type your shortcut and add a space before your query on address bar.
However I am curious about your use case. Do you reside outside of UK and also actively use local google results? OR do you always want to search in google.co.uk while being outside of UK?
Hello Pusheen the cat!
We hope your browsing have upgraded with the islands. And thank you for sharing your feedback about closing island tabs all at once.
We value all input and hope to receive further comments on similar experiences.
As we test the option to close islands at once(destroy), we are also considering an alternative solution: archiving the islands(sink) so that the island tabs become searchable even if the island is no longer present on the tab strip.
I wonder what Schrodinger's cat would go for
You can see upcoming features here among some other improvements we plan to release.
Merhaba @gurco21 ,
Mevcut arama motorlari disinda arama motoru eklenmiyor. Fakat SiteSearch ozelligini kullanarak adres satirindan aramalarini istedigin sitede yapabilirsin.
SiteSearch ozelligini
Settings -> Search Engine-> Manage Search Engines and SiteSearch -> SiteSearch -> Add kismina tikladiktan sonra asagidaki ayarlari onerebilirim;
Search Engine: Vuhuv
Shortcut: v (istedigin gibi kisayol yaratabilirsin)
URL with %s in place of query=https://vuhuv.com/?k=1&p=1&d=1&q=%s
Umarim faydali olur.
@himmelsheriff Hi, it is possible,;
Opera One is a regular Opera developer currently and doesn't collide with Opera stable. If you are using Opera developer then Opera One will overwrite it, but the profile will be preserved and used.
Opera One can also be installed as standalone (portable), then it will be in a folder pointed by the user, and will have its own profile
For early access visit https://www.opera.com/one
Tab islands and workspaces in Opera offer a powerful way to organize and group tabs for better productivity.
There are two methods to create a tab island:
Auto Island: If you frequently open multiple tabs from the same website, you can use Auto Island to group those tabs automatically, saving you time and effort. If you want to disable Auto-Island, just go to Easy Settings and disable the feature.
To create an auto island, you have several options:
Manual Island: If you prefer a more hands-on approach to organizing tabs, you can use the manual method to group tabs based on your current task or project, allowing for better focus and clarity.
To create a manual island, follow these steps:
Tab islands come with several features, including:
Expand and collapse: Clicking on the island color expands or collapses the islands, which can help you breathe space into your tab strip. You can also collapse the tabs while sharing your screen to improve your privacy.
Adding tabs inside the Island: You can open a new tab within a tab Island by clicking on a plus icon at the end of the island.
Moving tabs to an Island: You can drag and drop any tabs to an island. You can do this if the island is expanded. Another option is to right-click on a single tab and move it to a Tab Island. If you don't want to expand the Island, it is more convenient to use later.
Both Auto Island and Manual Island can be created using mouse or keyboard actions, providing flexibility and convenience.
In the future, we can expect tab islands to become even more sophisticated. They may incorporate machine learning algorithms to suggest islands based on surfing context or browsing habits, which could greatly enhance productivity by providing customized and intuitive tab organization.
In addition to Tab Islands, Opera also offers workspaces, which allow you to group your tabs by task or project, one layer above to the existing tab strip.
Find out more about workspaces here.
We'd love to hear your feedback on how you use tab islands in Opera and if you have any suggestions for further improvements.
What is Opera Workspaces?
Workspaces are a feature in Opera that lets you organize your tabs into different groups in a dedicated tab strip, like rooms in a house. Each workspace is like a different room, and you can customize them based on your browsing habits.
Click here to see the Workspaces in action!
How to Work with Workspace
To start using Workspaces, click the "..." icon in the sidebar and navigate to the Workspaces section. From here, you can add new spaces and customize them based on your needs. Once you have created your Workspaces, you can switch between them by clicking on the workspace icon. You can also move tabs between workspaces if you forget to open them in the right one.
Notes
@randomlooney The translation feature was recently launched on the mobile Opera browser.
