I just reinstalled PC with Windows 10.
Downloaded and installed latest version of Opera:
Versjon: 38.0.2220.41

Flash doesn't work
Downloaded and installed latest flash and it still doesn't work.

I tought Opera as with Chrome it have Flash built-in?

What is wrong?

I use OpenSUSE 13.2 KDE 64bits.
Updated Opera to lates stable: 34.0.2036.47

Flash doesnt work anymore. It doesnt help to install Chromium-pepperflash because then Opera stops working and i can't load any webpages with flash(Most ads are flash).

So have anyone manage til get Flash working in Opera 34 on OpenSUSE?

I can confirm that its possible to uninsstall Opera 32 and pepperflash, and then install opera 29 og pepperflash, then flash is again working.
I will stay with 29. 32 is CRAP!

What is going in with Opera? I've been using Opera 29 and 30 on OpenSUSE 13.2 64bits KDE for some time. It has been working very good. Now i upgraded to the latest stable Opera 32 and now there is no more Flash any more. Videos in Facebook doesn't play anymore, allots of videos in Youtube doesn't play any more, Spotify Web-player doesn't work any more.
I thought Opera use Chrome-engine that include Flash, but no. Opera must use Pepperflash and i have installed Pepperflash 17, but its not supported in Opera 32.

I read Opera has change its leadership and name. For me Opera can remove the O-logo og Opera-name completly. This is not Opera any more.

Why do i have ffmpeg in the first place? I have another computer, also with OpenSUSE and Opera 30 but without ffmpeg, and don't have any problem.
I uninstalled ffmpeg and now all problems is gone

I'm i little confused because if i run cmd ffmpeg -version, then i get 2.5, but in Yast it says 2.7.1-1.5

BTW! I got this problem after upgrading from Opera 29 to 30(latest stable).

I was checking on the wrong computer.

Now im at the right computer and if i check ffmpeg;
:~> ffmpeg -version | grep "ffmpeg version"

ffmpeg version 2.5.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the FFmpeg developers

Maybe its been updated and fixed now because i run system update now.
Haven't seen crash today. Time will show!

How do i check? I search in Yast and get only one hit; libavutil52 (Utilities library from ffmpeg).

openSUSE 13.2 (Harlequin) (x86_64; KDE)

Opera was packed from DEB to RPM with Alien. Everything seems to work fine. Its quick and have no problem with Flash.

The problem is that Opera-windows(Tab) crash randomly and i have to click Reload page.
Its not a serious problem, but its a problem.

Anyone?

I know, but is it possible to do a trick to get around this problem like you can in Firefox, or can i no longer access my IBM Lotus iNotes anymore with Opera?

I'm testing out Opera 27 Beta (27.0.1689.29) on Linux (OpenSUSE 13.2 64bits KDE)

After doing the tricks to get Flash and HTLM5 to work, i then try to login to my web-mail at work.
We use IBM iNotes.
But now i get "A secure connection cannot be established because this site uses an unsupported protocol.".

I did some search and found out something about unsupported SSL2.

This issue also exist in latest version of firefox. In Firefox you can change settings "Security.tls.version.min=0" to get it work.
Is there a way to do this in Opera 27?

I'm testing, but the answer is NO.

I have testet it with OpenJRE and Oracle Java RE 8.25.
Opera 26 Beta does not enable Java and i don't know if its possible to Tweek Opera to do so.

I'm getting old. Of course its just doing what it said:

sudo chmod 4755 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera-beta/opera_sandbox

This fixed the problem!

I downloaded latest Opera Beta 26 for Linux. (26.0.1656.17-2) DEB
Converted it to RPM with Alien (No errors)

Then i try to run it in terminal and get error:

FATAL:setuid_sandbox_client.cc(283)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera-beta/opera_sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

I got the same error when i installed Opera Dev 25, but by changing some file rights, it start to work. I don't remember what to do.

Anyone know this?

I used Alien: "sudo alien -r opera-beta_25.0.1614.54_amd64.deb" and it worked perfect

I just start trying the new Beta for Linux.
I had for convert DEB to RPM (using Alien) so i can install it on my OpenSUSE 13.1 64bits.
This worked and the Beta copy all info from the old installation of Opera 12.16.

My first impression is very good. The new Beta is much faster than the old one. Facebook goes like a charm.
I recommend Linux-users to try the new Beta.

I want to try latest Opera 25 BETA, but this is only available in DEB. I have OpenSUSE and i need RPM.
I know its possible to convert from DEB to RPM. Anyone tried this with luck?

Sorry! This is not good enough. I can show Bookmark-bar, but i can't configure its appearance.
Opera had e perfect way of configure Operas look and functionality, but all this is gone. Why?

BTW! If i want Google Chrome extension, then i use Google Chrome!

I've been looking forward for development of the future Opera. Now im running latest Stable version 22.0.1471.50 and is happy with it. There is two thing i really missing and that is the Bookmark-bar and Data-sync(Opera Link).

Has this been removed or will it come back in later version?
