@leocg Yes I know, that's why I said it's not too much to ask for a setting to turn ot off.
I can't be bothered with idiots who can't be bothered to give us such a simple setting. So again I'll be looking to use a different browser if they're going to force annoying crap on me.

RE: How to disable tabs list popup?Opera for Windows
@leocg Why?
Its not a lot to ask for a setting to turn it off.
I guess I'll have go looking at browsers again as I'm not interested in ones who have such arrogant designers who fail to offer choice on even the most simple of things. -
RE: How to disable tabs list popup?Opera for Windows
The tab tooltips are back and there seems to be no way to get rid of the useless crappy things any more. It was a pain to disable the damned things before. Why can't we have a choice?
Anyone know how to disable them?
First world problems, but little things like this drive me crazy!!! -
RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@rgranger I've been running old and new browser on different systems. It's amazing how much i miss it when it's not there. I use it far more than i ever realised.

RE: Opera 86 developerBlogs
Today is probably the last day i'll be using Opera. The workaround for disabling the fast tab tooltips has been removed and i really hate the damned things. I want to relax when at home, not be constantly irritated by dreadful design on a browser. It may not seem like much, but sometimes the little things are what makes a real difference.
I'll drop in to see if you add a setting to disable them whilst i search yet again for a usable browser. I'm starting to run out of options....

RE: How to disable tabs list popup?Opera for Windows
@leocg said in How to disable tabs list popup?:
@daniellb It's not big, it's not that different from the original tooltip.
Its way bigger than needs be. There's three empty lines, and the web address is unnecessary, so four times the size that it should be.
Look at how Firefox do it and you'll see this is way over the top. -

Disable fast tab tooltips!
They're so damned annoying. As the workaround gas been removed then i'm just not going to use this browser any more.
I've had it with crap design being forced on me. I moved here after Firefox forced a crap design on us, now you're doing it. When will developers realise that the more choice the better and allow us to disable the crap they come up with? -
RE: Opera 97.0.4719.28 Stable updateBlogs
@kened: Or they could just leave them as they are. Simple, tidy and easy to see and use.

RE: Opera 102.0.4871.0 developer updateBlogs
I reached the point today when i finally quit Opera. I was running old and new on different systems and gave up on the new version, mainly due to the annoyances of the design. Today it updated on my other system so i gave up and downloaded a different browser.
They'll not change the design, or offer an alternative, so i give up on them. -
RE: [Duplicated]How do I roll back to Opera from Opera One?General
@leocg
Thanks, but it seems a lot of faffing about to get a better browser that ultimately won't be supported, so i changed browser. -
RE: Opera 81 StableBlogs
Sorry, but the fast tab tooltips are hideously annoying, yet there's no obvious way to disable the damned things

@avl
I hate things that pop up without good reason. They get in the way and I found no real use for them. They offered no advantage time wise, certainly not enough to make a real difference.
Anything like that should have a nice little introduction and a nice simple way to disable them.
Having them as an option for those who like them is fine, but why make it complicated to disable something if we don't like it?
I came to Opera on mobile quite a while ago, and very recently on desktop, because of horrible design on my last preferred browser, yet straight away Opera have shown the same kind of disregard.
