Opera Developer 69.0.3660.0: mouse cursor no longer disappears in videosFuture releases
Since I updated to the most recent version of Opera Developer, the "hand" cursor no longer disappears when a video begins to play. It can be made invisible now only by moving it to the bottom left or right corner of the screen.
Not the worst glitch ever, obviously, but it is a curious one to be appearing at this stage of development.

RE: Opera 73.0.3827.0 developer updateBlogs
@ralf-brinkmann I have now tried what you suggest a second time (first time was 9/30) and have got the same result: Windows Defender blocks it because of the Foxiebro threat. I am now wondering whether the version you successfully downloaded was also the Win version. Or could it be that your antivirus software was turned off or simply didn't catch the threat? Thanks in advance for anything you can add.

Opening scanned files in OperaOpera for Windows
I just acquired an older Canon flatbed scanner. The setup doesn't automatically detect Opera Developer as an available browser. Can anyone tell me what path to use to get scanned pdf files to open in the Developer browser?
I should perhaps add that I have Windows 11.

@williama26 Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, in my case, the Menu anomaly remains even in 4732.

RE: Opera 77.0.4032.0 developer updateBlogs
The ability to delete a Recently Closed tab from the Search Tabs dropdown list (i.e., in the upper-right-hand corner, next to the Minimize icon) has evidently been eliminated in 77.0.4032.0. I've found this function very useful for clearing away clutter, and I'm sorry to see that it's been dropped. Can it be restored?

The Menu dropdown behaves oddly in 98.0.4725.0Future releases
In both the current Opera Developer version (98.0.4725.0) and the prior one (the last of the 97s, if I recall), whenever a second or subsequent window is opened, the word Menu and its accompanying dropdown fail to appear when the window opens in maximized format. It reappears, however, when the size of the window is reduced by clicking the Restore icon. Then, when that icon is clicked again to re-maximize the window, Menu and its dropdown remain and behave normally.
I have never experienced this glitch in any version of Opera before. Nor does it currently happen with either Opera Stable or Opera Beta. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

@andrew84
If you go first to the flags and enable Automatic Video Popout (it's disabled by default), the option "Make popout transparent" is also enabled in the Settings. In other words, enabling the flag makes the Settings options for Videoconferencing and Video the same. -
RE: Opera 94.0.4604.0 developer updateBlogs
@andrew84 Until a few weeks ago, the look in the attached image was nonexistent. Prior to then, what a tile represented was immediately obvious. Now, except for a single image in the second row, it looks like wallpaper for a teenage girl's room. Besides, as I wrote earlier, there are no longer any functioning context menus for editing tiles. This entire design is an insult to serious users.

RE: Opera 114.0.5272.0 developer updateBlogs
@leocg It has been happening on Windows 10, however, at least on my computer since the update to this version of Developer. I was experiencing crashes at least thrice daily until I spotted what appears to be the cause: opening a closed tab by using "Search tabs" in the screen's upper-right-hand corner. (N.B. Not every tab reopening precipitated a crash, but perhaps one in four did.) Note, too, that as I seldom have more than two Opera windows open at any time, overstreched browser resources seem to be ruled out as the cause.
Until a later Developer upgrade corrects this glitch, I am sticking to reopening closed tabs via History.

RE: How to change the standard emojis proposed for tabs?General
@thierry-kowalski Sincere thanks to you and to user "red" for cluing me in to the Flag solution. Thanks too to all of the other Opera users whose complaints about these offensive emojis persuaded the designer that he/she really goofed.

RE: Update extensions.Opera for Windows
@leocg What were the "provided solutions"? With the latest update, I have been getting the same once-every-two-hour requests to update extensions, despite the fact that I haven't added any new extensions in four or five years. I'd appreciate any assistance that you can offer.

RE: Opera 98.0.4732.0 developer updateBlogs
@leocg "Closing last tab seems to be causing crashes here too …"
If in this instance by "crashing," you simply mean that Opera 98.0.4732.0 is closing when the last tab is closed—i.e., rather than closing Only when you click the X in the upper-right-hand corner or use Alt-F4 on the keyboard—then I have noticed the same thing, too. If this is a feature rather than a bug, I for one am not pleased. Knowing that the browser will stay open even if I carelessly close the last tab has long been one of Opera's big positives. Happily, the current version of Opera Beta, 97.0.4719.11, still works as it should, so I'm switching my default to that until the browser-closing bug in Developer 98.0.4732.0 gets fixed.
