Can't connect to Amazon UKOpera for Windows
My Opera version is fully up to date as is my Windows 10 Pro.
All other pages connect ok but I get this error page when trying to connect to Amazon UK.

This is a recent phenomenon (a few days) and all my other 4 browsers connect instantly. I've been through all the checks listed in the posting advice. -
RE: Opera won't connect to localhostOpera for Windows
@thomasmca
You'll notice that my original post said that all other browsers were connecting normally. I don't know why but after re-installing Opera all was well.
#sgunhouse suggested the possible use of a VPN but that was not the case. -
RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
@leocg
Did a complete uninstall including my data. Re-installed and, yet again, the problem remains! -
RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
@sgunhouse Thank you very much - I was totally unaware of that. I'll give it a go.
Just installed portable version and it works fine. Many thanks!
Still cannot understand why it's stopped working in my standard installation? Can I import all my Speed Dial settings?

RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
@sgunhouse Confusion has arisen because @burnout426 suggested installing the portable version which I assumed referred to a version for mobile phones and notepads.
I don't know why anyone would want a "portable" version on a desktop.
To be clear I'm having the problem on a desktop running Windows 10 (fully updated) with Wampserver set up as my localhost server. I've uninstalled Opera completely, including my data, then downloaded a fresh copy and installed it. The problem persists.

RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Sorry, when you said portable version I assumed you meant for a smart phone or tablet. What is the portable version and why would you need it on a desktop?
-
RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Surely, I'd need Wampserver or similar on my mobile in order to set up a localhost server?
-
RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
@sgunhouse I do use a VPN (Surfshark) but not the built-in Opera one. All other browsers have no problem with that and I've just tried disconnecting the VPN but Opera still won't show the page.

RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
I run Wampserver and, since all 5 other browsers have no problem, I doubt the port number is a problem. Because I'm a developer I use 6 browsers to test how my software works in each environment.
I should say that Opera did display as expected for some time but, for no apparent reason, stopped. I haven't installed any new software for six months or more. The only changes have been Windows updates.

RE: Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
Exactly that. Just a blank page appears; no warnings, no error codes.

Failing to display localhostOpera for Windows
Opera fails to display localhost but is ok with other urls. All 4 of my other browsers show localhost ok.
What's happened to Opera? -
Opera won't connect to localhostOpera for Windows
Opera suddenly won't connect to localhost. Windows 10, Wampserver 3.1.7 64bit. All four other browsers connect perfectly - Chrome; Firefox; MS Edge and even IE!
Opera was working ok but, for no apparent reason has stopped connecting localhost. No problems with remote web sites.
Help please? -
RE: 12.17 shows a security issue on nearly every web pageOpera for Windows
All sound advice: the problem is to identify the malware if, indeed, that's what it is.
Opera was a fresh installation downloaded from the Opera website a few days ago.
I have AVG Pro running permanently.
I've done a scan with AVG - full system.
I've done a scan with Spybot S&D.
I've run BitOptimiser.
Nothing is being identified! -

I pasted the link into my comment but it didn't appear after I posted it!

Thanks for the tinypic link.

RE: 12.17 shows a security issue on nearly every web pageOpera for Windows
I've never bheard of Fiddler be3fore this problem (not in this context anyway) and I don't use a proxy.
System clock is correct in every respect.
Why do IE and Firefox work perfectly - that wouldn't happen if it had anything to do with my system, would it? Same applies if I was using a proxy - all browsers would be coming up with the same problem.

RE: 12.17 shows a security issue on nearly every web pageOpera for Windows
In reply to leocg, here's an example of one of the warning pages. They even come up when trying to access this forum site! I've reverted to IE for now which has no such problem. I've also tried firefox which also has no such problems.
Here's the example:-
A page with 3 tabs appears.
Example Warning tab:
The server's certificate chain is incomplete, and the signer(s) are not registered. Accept?
Server name:
Any of dozens of pages I've accessed regularly for years - e.g. my.ovoenergy.comExample Security tab:
The certificate for "my.ovoenergy.com"is signed by the unknown Cerificate Authority "DO_NOT_TRUST_FiddlerRoot". It is not possible to verify that this is a valid certificate.
Certificate summary
