So far all updates to Opera GX did not require me to download a new client and did not have a flashy sign saying "download->install->import settings". That makes me think I will lose my tabs and other settings if I upgrade to this. Is this true?
Current Version LVL5 (core: 109.0.5097.142)
I have also tried these suggestions that I found on another thread:
"Goto https://html5test.com/ and make sure it says "yes" for h.264 and aac. If they say "no", do you have an "N" edition of your version of Windows? If you do have an "N" edition, you need to install/enable the Windows Media Feature Pack. If "yes" for h.264 and aac, and things still don't work, goto the URL opera://settings/system, disable hardware acceleration, restart Opera, try again, and report back here if that worked to trick the sites into thinking you're using Chrome.
Another thing you can try is goto the URL opera://flags/#reduce-user-agent, enable the flag, and restart Opera."
After searching around, seeing that others had this problem, none of the posted solutions have worked for me,
Problem: Opera GX does not play Twitch or Facebook video (however Opera does play them)
I have reinstalled Opera GX, my gpu drivers.
My Windows version is:
Edition Windows 10 Home
Version 21H2
Installed on 27/10/2020
OS build 19044.1889
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0
Which I think doesn't put me in the "Windows N missing media pack", kind of solution
